Another alternative web browser that not too many people talk about is Opera. It has many of the same features as Firefox (such as the pop-up windows and tabbed-browsing), but it also possesses many other great features such as very detailed widget commands, and the ability to open Opera exactly how you left it the last time. This is very useful for me, since it'd be great to not have to type in all seven web adresses that I visit regularly!

Downside? There are advertisements at the top of the screen that are approximately half an inch tall, and stretch as wide as the web browser window is.

However, you get more features than Firefox, and it's faster. I will still use Firefox merely because it's Open Source, and Opera isn't, but for those who don't care too much about the production, but the actual product, then Opera is worth everyone's time.

Opera is very close to Firefox. But the advertisements did take up a lot of room and was indeed very annoying. Basically all my sites advertisements plus one. Even when I used the crack it was just an empty space where the ad would be, the space wasn't fully utilized.

I can't stand Opera. I haven't used it for almost a year now, maybe over that come to think of it.

It used to sufer with not being able to render an aweful lot of webpages correctly, the advertisements were a constant pain and a lot of websites actually told you to bugger off and use a different browser altogether.

This may have changed since I last used it.

As for Firefox not opening up 7 Windows at the same time: Try bookmarking all the sites you wish to open at startup and adding them all to the same folder. Then use "Open Bookmark" under preferences and select the folder rather than a single bookmark. This will solve your problem nicely ;)
