Ok, I've seen someone else report this problem, but noone posted a solution. Basically, I'm having some trouble running the game with the fixed exe file and a back up cd. I've backed up the cd twice to make sure that wasn't the problem. I'll give you what I did step-by-step, and maybe you can tell me what I'm doing wrong or forgetting.

Game is already installed on my computer. Patches 1.01, 1.1, and 1.2 are installed.
I made a direct copy of the first cd.
I downloaded the fixed 1.2 .exe file. I've tried the one at Game Burn World and Game Copy World, they are identical.
Unzipped the fixed DoW.exe 1.2 file to a temp folder on my desktop.
Moved the original DoW.exe file to another temp folder on my desktop.
I moved the new fixed DoW.exe 1.2 file to the Dawn of War folder.

When I attempt to run the fixed .exe file, I get this error:
The procedure entry point ?ThrowInvalidParameters@exception@luabinding@@sgxx z could not be located in the dynamic link library LuaConfig.dll.

I have no clue what this means. I see the LuaConfig.dll file but I am not sure what to do with it. As a side note, I tried the same process with the 1.1 fixed .exe. The game starts, I can watch the beginning cinema, but then the game shuts down and reverts to the desktop. Obviously because it's the wrong version, but I must be doing something right.

If anyone can help me fix this problem and figure out how to run the game using the backup cd, I would greatly apprecciate it. Thanks in advance!

Hey,
I don't know how to solve your problem, but if there's no reason for you to use version 1.2 you could upgrade to 1.5. The official patch removes the cd check and there will be no need for a fixed exe. :)

P.S. I had to install 1.41 and then 1.5 because I couldn't find a standalone 1.5 patch

Hope this helps.:wave2:
