Hi,
This is my first post on this forum, so Hi :)
Right, the nitty gritty stuff.

I am hoping you can help, i have consulted the activision knowledge base to no avail.

I have even exchange around 25 e-mails with the Activision Tech Support, but they arent very useful, they just gave me ideas like:

Are you drivers upto date? YES

Have you tried to re-install the game? YES

Have you re-installed windows? WTF!!!! :)

Anyway.

When i try and play the game, the opening movies play, i.e the activision, white wolf etc screans, but after the Troika Games logo, the game crashes to the desktop.
I am unsure how to rectify this as i get no error message.
I would also like to add my system specifications:

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
1024 DDR Ram 2700
Radeon 9800Pro 128mb (latest drivers)
C-Media sound device (latest drivers)
120gb HD (60% free space)
Windows Xp Pro Service Pack 2
Lates BIOS and mobo divers.

I have tried running the game with Catalyst Drivers, DNA Drivers, Omeg Drivers!! Nothing works.

I have tried un-installing SP2, no help their.

I have tried more or less everything to get this dam game to work!!

Safe mode for the game wont work.

HL2, Far Cry and Doom 3 all run uber nice on my setup with max details in most cases.

Here is a copy of my error log:

i dont really know what the problem is if HL2 and all the other games run fine. Vampire runs off of a modded HL2 engine so this is weird. but, the only thing that looks wierd is SP2. you said you have tried uninstalling it buy did you? and if you did it probably didnt really uninstall because the only way to get rid if it is completely reformatting, at leat that is the only way to remove it that i have heard. so, the only thing i can think is to put all your importnant files on an extra HD or soemthing and reformat. sorry, but i think you are lucky to have anything work with SP2, most of my friends PCs' got real screwed up after they downloaded it.

Yeah, i uninstalled SP2, but maybe you are right. I will consider a windows re-installation. But it seems a bit drastic when everything else works.

Man, this game is so badly coded.

Thanks for the reply :)

This looks like a mismatch between some drivers... if u want play it, try re-install windows without SP2!
