Unreal tournamet 2004 slow performace

Almost a month ago i had to uninstall my copy of ut2k4 because of a overheating problem, that was closing the game everytime i try to run it.

so i had to re-install all the 6.7 GB of files from the game, after that everytime i try to join a internet match, it takes the computer ages to load the map.

i defragmented my computer after the instalation and i run every single utility that windows, norton sistemworks, and tune up utilities, have to speed up the system and hard drive, but the games keeps runing really slow.

(pardon my english, i don't use it all the time)

what are your system specs?

have you updated drivers, direct x, service pack?
are you using the most recent patch?

maybe its just ur internet connection

everything is up to date, i have all the windows service packs, my drivers are updated, and my internet speed is the same1 i have since i start playing the game

i dont no then cause i got unreal 2004 and its fine
