Underground 2 LAN problem

Me and my mate want to play lan with underground 2, so we click on lan games, it sais connecting to lobby, it then goes to what looks like a lobby, then one of us clicks host game, and it sais connecting to lobby for like 5 minutes, then sais cannot connect to lobby and then exits to the main menu. we tried this at a large 250 man lan network and my home network with NO router just a switch and our network cables ARE connected as we can do anything but lan nfsu2. we are using cracked cd's that work perfectly but maybe they are the reason lan doesnt work. We both patched the game and tried again with fruitless results. Our cracked copies are images of the originals but with cracked exe folders on them to copy over. we tried two cracks, one provide (version 1.0) and and after patching one from megagames (version 1.1) (reloaded) and still exactly the same symptoms. Although at the 250 man lan we managed to join some1 elses hosted game and managed to host from within that and played a few races after changing the filter settings but then that person shut that server down we couldnt play. So, please someone with a solution or a way to host a new server properly or an idea please help us. Thanks in advance :blacroll

i have problems aswell, it just says connecting to lobby 4 ever. dunno, next time ill will try with out the crack......

I managed to get one of the computers to work, my one, by installing tcpip 6 that came with sp2. But my friends computer still cant join the server that i hosted and he still cant host either. So this may help SOME of the people with the same problem. Also i heard that setting up ur ip to obtain automatically might help somehow, but so far that didnt help him either.

try installing the game from one pc to another,
if you "threw" the files from one pc to another, export the registry files on the pc cd installed to the pc non cd installed, then it would work, hopefully
then nfs2 uses this "filter" to filter the games created.... if you created a drag game, then use the filter to connect to drag games also.....

well we got my friends pc (inferno) to act the same as my pc and can host etc, by reinstalling the game. But now we cant join each other cause we get a lobby error, which sais connecting to lobby then times out to a screen that sais cannot connect to lobby etc. So now we can both host but we cant join

all my mates installed the game from original cd, also sometimes one of us can host and bot join, but other times no on can do nuttin.
