I just got this game today at Software, and it's amazing to say the least. Episode 1 bring's back all the classic memories from the Dreamcast era' with a small amount of enhancements but still great.
When going to the planet ragol there's an awesome load screen that look's like your going through a blue warp tunnel. And the 2 player split screen is probebly the best feature out of all, just like playing online except no lobby.
And Episode 2 will totally blow your mind if your a major PSO fan (like me:D). The lobby is toally different with sliding glass door's and multiple level's to walk from. The new level's are great and well designed, And the water effect's look amazing.
I give this game a perfect 10! I would suggest any 'cube owner to pick this up a.s.a.p!

would you happen to know if there is some special trick to saving/continuing a multiplayer game? Played with a friend and got to cave2 quit and then had to start all over. Is it based on how far you have gotten in single mode perhaps? Or perhaps you cant? hmm.......

No trick, Multimode and Online mode are like that. There mostley for fun and raising your level. But Single mode you do your hunter's quest and it save's those.
I'm picking up my Modem today from EB Games for $35(srp). And subscribing to a Hunter's License, Yippi online play:D. I'm looking forward to a cheat free online play. Anyone else playin' online?

It's a open RPG, You go through dungeon's and fight monster's but you dont go into a battle mode. You fight freely, It was my favorite game of all time on DC.

PSO is a pretty good game, from what I've seen. But, I've only seen the DC version.

An extremely fun game and definately worth looking into. However, online gaming with no keyboard is rather frustrating

I believe it is more of a port of ver.1 and 2 (thats how i hear it told anyway as I have never played the DC version). You play online by buying a montly "hunter's liscence." You must already have an isp and some are not compatible, aol being one. It costs around 8.95 and is worth it. I read that sega says they are working on bringing a keyboard to the states, but I have seen nothing more. Hopefully they can convince a third party to make one soon....
