Half Life 2 Error 1335

HI all when i install hl2 i get the message, Error 1335 "the cabinet file hl23 required for installation is corrupt" the game brand new.

take it back to the shop and get another copy of it.

no need, alls that was wrong was the drivers for the dvd rom drive just had to update them.

interesting. i have never bothered updating my dvd rom drivers just the firmware.
