I need a nocd as well for vampire the masquerade bloodlines , what a bummer ..... in reference to crapy protection my friend just bought half life 2 (the original yesterday) and it wont start cause of steams piece of crap and the protection they have on the disk. Me and my friend have spent hundreds if not more on original games .... and this new age protection is all about GREED there making a packet and they just cant get enough e.g you buy a original and need to pay the same again for every machine it goes on and they have the hard kneck to slag of hackers!!

Well call me a dancing fool (i promise never to say that again) i found a crack, go to gamecopyworld, then go to game list then vampire, then since gamecopyworld loves to hide there cracks in the profile of other games scroll partly down the screen to the Related Games: section and click on bloodlines. There are 2 cracks in there, with a fairly slow download rate, i dont know how well they work but apparently they were released today, and im downloading them now. Expect a post shortly telling you if they work or not.

well just an update here, the 2 aforementioned cracks dont help me in the least. They are false iso's that you mount to make the game work, im still getting the cd/dvd emulation software detected please disable error.

hi everybody,

i have the same problems , a few of you are talking about. means i had them :)
look at this link:

i have a problem like yours... i found this game and downloaded it... but when i install it it goes until 99% and requests the cd1... i put it in the drive but it don't recognizes it... so i manually copied all the directory of vb and saved it from the rollback... i put the vampire.dat file that was missing and tryed to run the game... it says that the cd1 is not correct and to put the original cd... so i downloaded the crack from gamecopyworld but when i mount it and try to run the game ( with also the cd1 in the driver ) it reboots or gives me an error that says something like... there is an error with emulation or there is not enough free disk space... what i have to do??? plz help me

First of all you shouldnt of downloaded it, second, its prolly ur memory and if you have other emulation software on the pc, like clone cd, Alcohol any other, and I duno why u get that memory message, prolly u dont have the required memory to run the game.

I'm having the same problems as you it seems, Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error: Abnormal program termination. Anyone have any ideas? This was with me running Daemon Tools 3.47 (was using 3.41 previously which didn't work with the copy protection it seems) and no clonecd or Alcohol 120% installed... :(

burn the disc like the above said at 4x on safedisc, and that should take care of the install, the only way it worked for me was to mount cd1's mdf file on a virtual drive since I couldn't find any cd fixes. That should let you play the game

Yes !! I MAID IT WORK !!! :bandit:

Burn Cd's 2 & 3 Using Nero (Burn Image), burn the first with Alchol 120% V. 1.9.2 (you can find it on eMule easily enough) On Safesidc 2/3 Speed:X4. Now, Go to gamecopyworld.com and search for two crackes the released. Download either, its not important, The 1.8 Mb or the 18 Mb. Unrar the file. Go to Alchol 120% V. 1.9.2 and mount the image. Be sure that no CloneCD or Daemon Tools or installed. Insert to your cdrom the SECOND disk, not the first and launch:Vampire.exe from the installtion dir. THAt iT ! Enjoy !! :grayrazz:

Wait i got it to work, I did what u said and i still got the C+++ error, i had to delete a registry folder in something called python, its on activisions help site if you want to know which one it is, but I got another question it plays in a window, I want it full screen, how do I do that? Also it lags sometime, I got a pentium 4, 3.0ghz, 1gb ddr ram, 160 gb hard drive and 128 geforce fx 5200.

Before my fix I will tell you what I had problems with. When I started the game it would show the splash screen and then ask for the CD. I used Daemon tools and I downloaded the no-cd fix from gamecopyword.com (the iso.iso file not the .mir file). Then when I mounted that file I would still get the splash screen but my PC would reboot everytime. I even tried it in Alcohol 120% but same thing, so here is what I did:

I installed the newsest version of Daemon Tools (3.47) over the old version and enabled Safedisc only in the emulation settings. Then i mounted the ISO.iso file as above and it started! I hope this helps someone.

By the way here is my general config: WinXP (Sp2), 500mhz, 700MB of RAM, ATI Radeon 7500 w/ 64MB with the latest drivers. I know it isn't what you would call the most up to date system and the game runs slow at times but it is bearable until I get it upgraded. The point is that if this setup can run it the newer ones should too.

Has any of you, or just anyone in General. Had the problem where the game loads but you have 6 miniscreens showing the game. And there is no way to make it whole. I have no idea what to do about it. My computer is more then decent enough to run the game.

Ok, first you have to have daemon tools 3.4.7 or latest version or alcohol latest version too, either should be ok, then go to www.gamecopyworld.com and get the MIR image thats about 18mb for bloodlines. Install bloodlines full installation then mount the MIR image with alcohol or daemon tools. Now, if you get the out of sync error with your monitor, go to dxdiag and on the last tab you should see override, click it and type a value that your monitor supports if you dont know put in like 60. Now here is how you get rid of the C+++ error:

This answer is for an Advanced user. Please do not attempt the below solution if you are not comfortable editing the Registry. Damaging the Registry could result in very adverse effects to your system. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

THE FOLLOWING FIX IS UNSUPPORTED BY ACTIVISION:

1) Go to start->run and type in Regedit and press enter. This will bring up the registry editor.
2) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Python\Pythoncore\2.1\ Pythonpath\WIN32 and click on the win32 folder
3) Go to the file menu at the top and select export
4) Choose a location, and then enter a name for the registry key backup
5) then delete the whole WIN32 folder inside the pythonpath folder.

Now close the registry editor and start the game. The problem should be fixed.

Making this change may affect other applications currently installed. If you notice something else you want to use is not working properly on your system after making this change simply locate the exported registry key you made and double-click on it. This will allow you to replace the key easily. Replacing this key will cause the same error message to appear with vampire. You will need to remove this key again if you wish to use the game. You should not need to create the exported key again unless you delete it manually.

As for the person with the 6 miniscreens, I have no clue why it does that, but maybe you have tv or somethig built inot your pc where you can watch tv and have like more than one screen, but if i'm wron disregard this.

i burned it by using alcohol 120% for cd 2 and 3 but for disc one i made an iso ( used ultraiso ) then i added the 18mb crack from gamecopyworld and added a copy od daemon tools to a folder then added the folder to my cd1 iso (used ultraiso) then i burned it with alcohol.
ps i burned all 3 discs at 16 speed.
ps use the refresh overide function on ur gfx card and set all resolutions to 60hz then u will be able to see the game instead of that ++++ty black screen

Ok, First Of all, Gargus, When you get Alchol 120%, and that file (i prefer, so that way you dont need any disk at Cdrom), In Alchol, Go to file, open, and open the file. he will show it to you on the main screen. Right Click->Mount Image. Then you may close Alchol. So, what you did is a virtual Drive contains that File that is actually, The crack Himself.

All others, I see that Salim was kind enough to write all those lines about Deamon Tools, well, pardon me, but i dont use Daemon , Nor CloneCd, so i cant really tell you what to do. i said to make sure its not installed 'cause i read here and there that it makes the game to crash. Anyway, make sure you dont have Daemon or cloneCd, if you do, use Salim's great guide. Burn Cd 2 & 3 using the option:Burn Image. Use Alchol 120% to burn the First. Just open the image, Right-Click, Burn . Use SafeDisk2/3 Protection in X4 Speed. Then again, go to gamecopyworld.com, download the second crack (the one that 18Mb) Mount the image, make sure NO CD IS IN THE CD-Rom. And LAUNCH. He may shout about No cd in drive, shout him back by saying:Continu. That's All guyz. Im playing Just fine. About the Grapich problems, i dont know, try to update your drivers, Direct X 9. c, or even the options in the game itself. Goodluck. :greedo:

Mainly I just told people how to get rid of the C+++ error you get or at least some people got, It doesnt matter if you use daemon or alcohol, both work good and the game should work as long as the refresh rate is overriden and mine lagged a bit but they are comin out with a patch soon I heard that's supposed to fix all te lag and stutter and graphic problems.

I have a solution for the sync issue:

I discovered that the isuue makes the primary display device go out of sync, so connect a TV to your video card and set it to primary display, check that you can still see what you're doing in your monitor and start the game, you'll se that the TV goes out of sync now but the monitor doesnt. you can disconnect the TV after that, but check that it's still set to primary device, it will work just fine, even if the TV is no longer connected, at least with an nvidia card :D.

***NOTE TO ALL REGARDING EMULATION DETECTION***

I had the same problem with emulation software being detected when trying to run Vampire Bloodlines with Daemon Tools ( v3.47 ), Alcohol 120% and Clone CD on my system. I found that the problem is not with the new version of Daemon Tools. The problem is that the game checks your registry for emulation programs. What I did was the following:

1. Load Regedit
2. Go to My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
3. Rename 'Elaborate Bytes' to '!laborate Bytes' ( if it's there )
Rename 'Slysoft' to '!lysoft' ( if it's there )
Rename 'Alcohol Soft' to '!lcohol soft' ( if it's there )
4. The game won't detect them anymore/complain and you can run Daemon Tools + Vampire Bloodlines image with no problems. Just remember to change these back when you need to use the programs ( Alcohol 120%, CloneCD )

Hope this helps someone as I'm sure uninstalling/reinstalling programs just so a game can run is extremely annoying.

@mR.odb

***DISCLAIMER***
***ATTEMPT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!***
***YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!***

The black screen with sound only was a problem my brother had. The two ways we tried to fix it were:

1. Change your monitor's refresh rate to 60Hz for 800x600, 1024X768, 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. This is easily done if you've got an nVidia card. Just right-click, choose "Analog Display". Go to "Refresh Rate Overrides" and change the above resolutions to 60Hz ( you'll have to click the circle "Override refresh rates" first ). If "Refresh Rate Overrides" does not exist, go to "Change Resolutions" and change the Hz there to 60.

2. Go to "Control Panel" and choose "System". Now click on the "Hardware" tab and click "Device Manager". Double click on "Monitors" and you will now be shown the monitor driver currently installed. My brother's said "Default Monitor" so I changed it to "Plug and Play Monitor" and now it works ( maybe with a combination of Point 1. )
To change your monitor driver from "Default" to "Plug and Play" do the following:

i)Right-click the driver Default Monitor and choose "Update Driver..."
ii)Choose "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)"
iii)Click NEXT
v)Choose "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install"
v)Click NEXT
vi)Under (Standard monitor types) choose "Plug and Play Monitor"
vii)Click NEXT and or agree until it says finish.

Hopefully this all works for someone, it did for me.
