avi film

I have an avi movie file. but i can only see it for about 4 minutes. If I look at the properties it shows 700 MB. What's the problem and how can i fix it?

try to watch it with a different video player like vlc media player u can get it from
www.videolan.org

Have you installed the proper codecs to play it?
I may be that the file is bad as well.

But Seans advice was good, I recommend you try that first.

I've had an experience before too, I'd say the file is badly converted. Also try doing a search on Yahoo or google for 'Nimo Codec Packs'. This will install every codec that plays almost any media format including Div-x. Install the pack and try playing it again.

If you can see it, I doubt it's a problem with codecs.

Sounds more like a corrupted avi.

Yes, I can recommend VLC player, no codecs needed :)
