DvD cds??

Im still new to this whole DvD stuff so bear with me please.

Ok so I convert a AVI to DvD then I burn it to a DVD + RW. My downstairs DvD player can not read the disc, my upstairs can read it, and my mobil DvD player reads it half the time. Whats going on here? I belive its the DvD disc...All I know is that my DVD burner can wright on DvD+RW, can not wright on DvD - R and DvD - RW. I belive more DvD players can read the DvD + R but I dont know if my burner can wright on them...Can someone help me out?

I suggest you use a program that burns a dvd that can play on all dvd players in the house. I recommend using Elby's Clonedvd 2. It works really great as it plays on all my standard dvd players including the PS2. Whether it is +r or -R. You can get it here:
