Hi.......

I seem to have a problem putting a dvd movie onto a dvd-r.

there seems to be lots of info on dvd-r but it seems so complicated and drwan out. Here is my problem, im sure someone else has had this so hopefully im looking for some simple answers.

i have this movie on my desktop, it is in DivX format, i used a program called CUCUSOFT to make the movie a DVD format, this process took 5 hours. Once complete i then had a movie which was about 1000 megs. i then opened up NERO, clicked the dvd option and selected DVD MOVIE on the copy disc etc section. i then went to another part which was select the movie, i put this in the available box and the scale at the bottom went up to 1000 odd megs, but, the burn option did not light up.

Why couldnt i burn the dvd to balnk dvd-r.

can some one help me out on burning DVD movies to dvd-r

Do you have your dvd burner selected in nero? I once spent 10 mins wondering why the burn option was disabled until i noticed that i didnt have any burner selected

isnt there a program that does all this for you, like...........

download the avi, or mpeg, or DivX, then it converts to VOB or whatever, then burns to dvd, like in nero you can make a vcd no probs, select the VCD option then chose the file, if need be nero converts it, then burns to cd.
