File Sharing programs like Napster are illegal, because there servers host the illegal files themselves. With edonky emule kazaa etc, the servers are the users themselves. Thats why Kazaa was taken to court but no charges were made. Also, there is legal material on there, thats what these programs were originally made for - for young musicians trying to share their music

the internet is full of illegal items, but yet not banned at mgf... unless specifically asking for an illegal item we cant close threads- as explained file sharing does include legal files... dont worry, mods do keep a close eye on this and other related threads ;)

arn't they cracking down on emule? i herd that some people are being contacted amd fined? i am not sure though..............i don share on those programs coz they kill my 3 gb cap.
