I'm having a lot of problems to connect the internet since two weeks ago. I dont know what could be the problem. I called the technical support of my ISP but said the server was right. I tried somethings like change line cables but the problems still remains I listen that there is some virus that make problems to connect and scanned with nav 2004 and pccillin and didn't found nothing also checked for spyware/adware and din't found nothing too, I thought the problem could be the firewalls and disabled the windows firewall and uninstalled zone alarm but don't makes diffrerence. I have a dial up connection that uses a program provided by the isp to compress the connection data and makes more faster the navigation uninstalled that program too and still having problems. Is there something I could? do or do I have to change my ISP?

Control panel - Internet Options - Coneections - Setup :D

I finally fixed the problem I reformated the machine and the internet is working again I don't know what created the problem. I think the tcp/ip servce from windows got damaged or somethiing. it can't tbe reinstalled on win xp (not like win 98). only reset the settings that didn't worked. Some of the programs are working better. Farcry runs now very smooth and faster

there would be not problem with TCP/IP. It might have caused if u have Norton Internet Security or any some firewalls. U must not not remove the norton internet security from the startup and it must be running in the background.
