I know you can type in console to get a unit ect,
but what are the various roman units name that your suppose to type (i can never get it to work).

Anyway, isnt there an easier way to begin the game with more troops?
I tried editing the files in RTW but nothing really worked, maby i edited the wrong files i dunno..

*wishs for a unit/army trainer!

p.s i know that you can just use a money cheat to train more units, but not really what i want/seek.

Thanks!.

Yeah, same here... btw the cheats only works once per game. So if you want to use it more then once you would have to restart the game... bummer!

* me too wishes for a unit/army trainer.. :fart:

Found this little helpfull hint from TWCenter, you can add money, units, buildings ect.

Link:
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=12114&hl=upkeep

its very easy, just edit a text file, first find descr_strat.txt.
It should be in Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign, then find the fraction you want to give more money to, for example julii, you will see this:

faction romans_julii, comfortable caesar
denari 5000

just change the starting denari to whatever you like

Below you can see all the information for all the cities, you can change the population if you want or add buildings, for example...

{
level large_town
region Etruria

year_founded 0
population 9000
settlement_tax 51
plan_set default_set
faction_creator romans_julii
building
{
type core_building imperial_palace
}
building
{
type equestrian circus_maximus
}
building
{
type defenses epic_stone_wall
}
building
{
type barracks army_barracks
}
building
{
type port_buildings dockyard
}
building
{
type missiles siege_engineer
}
building
{
type market market
}
building
{
type hinterland_farms farms+4
}
}

p.s - click the link, its easier to read it from there.
