Yeah, unfortunately this does happen sometimes with legit games.

What I would recommend doing is finding the invoice (or something that shows you paid when you pre-ordered) Then instead of faxing it, scan the back of the case, save the image on your system, and see if you can email it to them. Even though you live overseas, you should still be able to fax the info btw, it will just cost you more

Well its same with Blizzard, you have to send the case with your key to get a new one.

Probably someone stole the key when the game was still on the store. Saw people doing that a few times, you will have a though time proving that you really own the game so they send you a new key

well u see that is the prob i got the game in the 17th of sept, i really saw no point in keeping the invoce coz every thing was hunky dory. wot do they really expect ppl to keep ALL their recepits for ever(don't answer that!)

i know that it will cost me more to fax oversees. Did those bright sparks in EA GAMES think what would a person do if they do not have a fax/scanner. well it looks like ill have to buy a plane ticket to usa just to prove i have the game......thanks but no thanks

It doesn't matter if you don't have the invoice anymore. If you pre-ordered it from a reputable place, they will be able to provide you a copy of the invoice when you contact them.

Well...I purchased mine online through Amazon. I used a credit card. Having the same experience as you mentioned above, I called my credt card company and told them the situation. They credited my account.

How did you pay for the game?
