Register with Windows?

Perhaps someone here can help me with this problem.

I had installed a video game that I had bought and stoped playing for a long time (Zoo Tycoon) Now before I go any further, YES, I am a guy, and YES I do like these type of games, so whatever. Now to continue: I purchased recently the Marine Mania addon, but when I went to install it it says that Zoo Tycoon can not be found on my computer... Of corse, I lost the Zoo Tycoon disk. HOWEVER, when I go to play the game from a direct punch of the main exe, it works just fine (I beliee I had got a no CD crack and played it). So I pose a question: Is there anyway I can "re-register" Zoo tycoon with Windows so that it sees that I have it so I can update it and install the add-on? Or 2, if I get a copy of the original exe for it and replace the no cd cracked version, will it see that it is there? It is no longer in my "Add/Remove" programs section, so I think that it needs to be registered with the registry in order for the addon to find it...

Do I REALLY have to buy this game again? Or can someone out there help me?

Considering you own the game, just download a copy of the CDs and reinstall it.

Unfortunetly you have to buy the game again, since you did loose it. And sorry, but we can't help you if you do plan on downloading the game like the post above.
