Newbe Halo fix

I have made a copy of my Halo and put in nocd fix but it will not run it just sits there. Please tell me why this is so, could it be some other software I have on my drive that is stoping Halo load

the copy is it the retail or a back up ?
what O/S you usen?
did you use the crack right? (put it in the right place)
can you play it with out the crack?

It is a backup and am using xp home this backup works on a friends laptop with same crack what do u mean in the right place

He means: did you install the crack correctly.
And what OS does your friend have?

My friend runs xp pro, I think i installed crack correctly, is there a tutorial or something that tells you exactly what to do

if the crack was zipped all you have todo is unzip it and install it where ever the halo.exe file is at (i think thats what it's called i haven't had to do this for a long while)for example when you unzip the file and it asks you where you'd like to put the files you'd want to put "C:\program files\microsoft\halo" it should ask you if you want to replace the current file with the new one. If you haven't played the game yet go ahead and do it. If you have saved games you should make a backup of the .exe file incase the crack screws something up.
