Problem Starting Need for Speed Underground

I have installed NFSU and when i try to open it goes to load the first little NFSU somes up then the screen goes black and it returns to windows. I have tried waht they suggested on the which is shutting every other application down and checking the resoulution but nothing worked. I also uninstalled it and reinstalled it but didnt work. Please Help!!!

I followed some suggstions that i found somewhere else and got it to work. But now when it starts the graphics are part lines of colours and part good graphics. DOes anyone know what i can do?

what kind of video card do you have? in any case you should download the latest drivers for it.
