strange Call Of Duty: United Offensive crack

This crack give me strange menus. The menu say "MENU_SINGLEPLAYER", "MENU_QUIT", "MENU_OPTIONS", and when I got to start to play (clicked in "MENU_SINGLEPLAYER", and the game show the difficult with "MENU_GREENHORN"...) the game doesn't respond.

I have the CoD installed with the patch 1.4 and the Spanish version. UO with the english version. Maybe that's the error? :confused:

I have also the same problem...... CoD german, patched to v1.4 und installed the UO, but had the same error messages (MENU_SINGLEPLAYER etc...) and the game does not start after choosing the skill level.... :cry2:

Is there a workaround for this? Has anybody a solution?

if I would find a goog command-line zip utility I could do a patcher which everyone with low pc knowledge could use. Are there any people who have a CoD version other than German or English? I have to know how how the names of the pk3 files are

I'm afraid it's not working by me...
but I also can't see menu, i can only hear the "sounds"

do you have in your pk3 files localizedstrings/german and localizedstrings/english?

and did you rename the files?

i'm at school now, i'll check l8r, but i think i've got only the english files. and I did rename them but nothing changed...

ok, tried the guide according to Noscript..... it is still not working!

the menu looks now normal (changing the *.pk3 files was successful), but again the game won't start. After selecting the skill level, nothing happens. I cannot even quit the game, have to bring up the task manager and end the task. This is really frustrating me.... :o(

Did you replace the files in all 3 pk3 files?

yes, in my pk3 files there was a folder called "german". I've just deleted it and copied the "english" folder from your pk3 file for all 3 files. but what about the other pk3 files? there are more than just the 3 ones. Is the rest not necessary to change?

yes they are not neccessary but you shouldnt delete the german folder ;)

Thing that gets me is this, if they have a COD in spanish or german or whatever, why do they have the english COD:UO?

alright i won't be making myself smart or somethnig but look, i had the same problems...
look. That's how i did this..
i uninstalled every file that had anything to do with cod...
and reinstalled the old cod...with both cracks etc.
then do NOT install the 1.4 patch
install the new cod (UO) and the 1.4 patch should be auto installed with the game...then copy/paste both cracks for the UO and play the game
i hope it works for u guys
