Sacred - Australian retail

I recently bought a second hand copy of Sacred - which after about a day trying to get it to work finally loads to the main screen - but then fades to black when you try to start a campaign - i updated to 1.66 for the reason for having a Nocd patch - but it seems there are no patches for the Aus version - can anyone help or suggest something - no matter what i try with (ive tried Italy and UK nocd patches) or without the CD.

Ive had some success getting rid of the game fade when playing around with the startcode.bin - although it wont go into to quests or anything - just in a plain field - so is there a way to fool around with these files as it is cleary this file that the protection is applied upon

Done that - but same problem - ive tried all i know against the copy protection...Can anyone tell me if its actually worth it? - I might just sell it back to Revo cd

HEY HEY - DIDNT REALISE I HAD RIVATURNER ON!! - works like a charm - no doubt itll crash soon though
