Sims 2 Build Mode

Has Anyone figured out a way yet to run the game without the CD and still have build mode enabled?

I had read that post, but my problem is that it is my computer iliterate girlfriend that is playing Sims 2. So I think the mounting business every time she had to play it might pose some problems.
