Sims 2 Application error

Ok.
I just went out and bought sims 2 today from best buy, and i come home and install it.
After it's done, i open it.
The sims two logo screen flashes for a second, then disappears. Then, a message comes up saying "this application has crashed. This pplication will now terminate."
This happens with body shope, and sims 2.

Anyone getting this problem?

What are your system specs?
Do you have the required minimum (atleast)?

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your Graphics Card and have the latest Direct X. Using a crack may help also.
