Yet another FFVII crash post

Hi,

When the movie clip of Little Bronco ends the game crash. Checked the details and this is what it said:

AppName: ff7.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: mpeg2dmx.ax
ModVer: 2.0.80.30327 Offset: 0000d823

I've tried everything that's in the existant FFVII posts on this forum and nothing seems to solve it..

I know this might be a year too late but you might like to know or you might of solved the problem yourself
if you read this post ever again I tried to email you

the issue is a direct show filter from the program moonlight called "mpeg2dmx.ax"

the fix to this is just add a different extention to the file .temp or whatever you can delete the file just dont forget to restore it or your program wont start

I dont know why the hell Windows tries to open the demuxer????

Hey,
I just bought FF7 for PC. I've got a problem where the game crashes when beating Yuffie as a random battle on disk 1. I'm pretty confident it's not a graphics problem, because while searching the net I've found patches that mention that they fix some graphics and minigame issues, but when I tried it it didn't fix it. I win the battle and then the game exits. Any help would be much appreciated - it'd be good to play ff7 again.

It would of been probably just as cheap to buy a 2nd hand playstation and a copy of ff7 for the price you paid for the pc version. i have played and completed the ps version after it 1st came out.. years later i thought i would get it for the pc.. the pc version is no where as good as the ps version.. the graphics havent been ported well to the pc, and as such the ps version looks way better!

Actually, I got it really cheap.
I just don't know if I can be bothered going and looking for another copy, when I have one already. I'm going to mess around with it, see if there's some way I can get around it. Thanks anyway.
