ie hijacked cant find!!!!

im on xp using ie6 and everything is completely up to date.(sp2 etc).
i was asked to install a plugin from a site but i clicked on no but it decided to do it anyway. i dont know what it was and i cant even remember what site it was. it added a folder to my favourites called computers and stuff. my ie now doesnt work at all. i deleted the files named above, scanned with norton and adware and spybot but it doesnt show up on any of them. hellllppp!!!

So...is your home page changed, do you keep getting redirected???

Truthfully IMO the best way to fight spy ware and viruses is stop using IE6
What I would suggest to do is download opera7.xxx and firefox1.0

Use opera as main browser and if you hit a site opera doesn't work on (do to the fact opera doesn’t use active X do to its overwhelmingly set of security flaws) use fire fox witch is a nice solid backup

I can tell you this nothing has ever been installed on my opera with out my permission!
But if money is an issue then just go for firefox1.0 (still way better than IE6)
