I dont think, that he has a working one, cause u must be very skilled to crack a game like the sims 2....u have to bypass the CRC Checksum, the Build Check and other thinks...like the cd check....that is my opinion...if u really have a working one upload it and give us the dl..link..

I have a crack for playing the sims 2 AND build mode does REALLY work. I have the cd rom version, have just tried it and works perfectly.This crack is about 30 Megas big and is a No cd crack.

Guys, I found something interesting,for u all,same as a crack (or no-cd)
or a one time patch. u've to run it only for one time, it installs daemon tools, restarts your pc (for install of deamon tools, is needed)...automaticly mount the image and set a shortcut on your desktop, so that you can run sims 2 directly after the restart without cd or something.i just tested it and i think,its nice and it is working, with buildmode and save mode.
the only prob is, that it is in france (the install)...but the Game is still in your language

I think there is no working Nocd / DVD Crack, cause when u change something in the exe file, there is a check which disables the build and savemode that means, u have to bypass the crc check for the file, bypass the check from crc whitch disables the buildmode, bypass the cd/dvd checks and bypass the emulation software check. i think its a hard one. Maybe Money can do it. And i think, all checks are not at one time

The best thing what u can do is to try the file above your post.
Maybe its working for u. For me it works.
Thats the only Way at the moment.

Best way to play Sims 2 is the deamon way, with the mini image.
There will never be a no-cd crack for the 4cd version. The hackers & crackers aren't what they used to be, they havnt got the skill to crack this one, lets hope they do it before the add-on pack comes out. (yes there is one coming according to my pcformat)

look in the December 2004 issue of PCFormat (i get dvd version) On page 108/109 there is a two page spread interview with Will wright. at the bottom of pg 109 there are two pictures, at the bottom of the first one it says (and i quote)
"Sexual Harassent lawsuits will be included in the Suing Family add-on pack"
.......sounds to me theres an add-on pack coming!!!

You can play sims 2 with a program called "Deamon Tools 3.47".
It makes a fictief drive on your computer and you can play it with no problems.
If you don't use this program for commercial purposes you do not have to register a license and are allowed to use this software for free. :artysmil
I have no problems playing the game and it saves it all.

The programs name is called "Deamon Tools 3.47" and is free.

Instal and play it with NO cd.
You have then a drive on your computer that is cd 1 of sims 2.
It takes that link to play and don't need a cd then.
Does anyone read this because its working.
Try it yourself.
Tell it later to all other people they want 2 play sims 2 with no cd.

sims 2 works without cd ,its easy dl alcohol 120 and dl Sims2_1.mir around 23mb,from copyworld.

just run alcohol 120 and mount Sims2_1.mir then go to original sims2.exe in programfiles and double click ,the game works perfect and build mode also .why all this posts for just that.

btw anyone knows if gta andreas is out on pc,i know its out on xbox and ps2

:angryfire O.k. some people just don't know how to read....First of all if all of you would start from the begining of this thread, most or all your questions would be answered. There is no "NO-CD" Crack for this game right now...and personally I don't think there will be one soon, but if some of you would take the time to read this thread you would see that there are other alternatives of playing the game without the cd in the drive. Some might not like that other alternative, but right now that is the only way to go. There is no "NO-CD" Cracks out there. Most of the ones you find out there have the build mode and save mode disabled or most are adware and viruses. So get use to the fact that there is no "NO-CD" crack for this game. Use the the image file that was created as one of the alternatives, that it works just as good and it doesn't take a genius to follow the directions or keep on using your cd. :greedo:

Funny enough it works like a charm. I was able to boot the game. For the rest of the abilities I will trust the person who mentioned this crack works for the english version as well. He said he played the game 3 days on end without problems.

The file is shared on emule and kazaa.

I have used this patching procedure on my PC and it "Realy" do work. I am using building tool of sims 2 right now, but it do require images amd Daemon tools to work properly and its very easy to use. If you would like to have that patch link please inform me I will be glad to help you.

I got a no-cd patch from ++++++++.org ages ago, which is probably the same as I've heard most of you using, namely using daemon tools to trick a small image-file that it's actually the official disk 1. But the thing is, I just downloaded the official patch to take out some of the bugs of the first release, and the patch installer asks for disk 4. Does anyone have a similar image file that I use of disk 1, but then for disk 4?

First of all, I'd like to thank you all for help. I use daemon tools and the game works fine. But, since I installed it and mounted the image, I can't use Exact audio copy or any other similar programs. EAC only recognizes the virtual cd-drive, and before I could choose between my dvd and cd-rw drive. I tried to unmount the image and set the number of virtual devices to "disable", but it didn't help. I can't see the drive in windows explorer any more, but EAC still isn't working. I tried to reinstall EAC several times, but it didn't help. I know this isn't a topic for this forum, but if any of you have experienced similar problems with daemon, please help me or tell me where can i find help.

Hey, you are doing some extra steps that you don't have to,
you don't have to replace the ".exe" file if you want to play the sims
with daemon.
there is no point downloading the DVD crack.
and i have been playing the sims 2 with dameon and the image and
it works but, there should be some crack that doesn't need to mount an
image, if your crack doesn't need the image then let us know. :flame2:

When u mount the mini image, replace your ori sims.exe with the cracked one.

Ok people, I made it work, just the way that is described about 20 times, daemon 3.47 and the downscaled image of cd1

Only problem i had was a very old version of clonecd burried somewhere in my harddrive and registery.

PLEASE HELP. i've read every forum every where anmd tried all the suggestions, i don't have clone loaded and haven't had since i formatted my hard drive teh other week.

Ive loaded DT 3.47 and tried to run the image from there, i also tried 120 but neither have any luck, i uninstalled 120, maybe it was an old versiona nd deleted all the keys from regedit and still every time i click for the sims to start it waits abouta minute then i get a small box, heading sims 2 with a cros in a red circle and the only option is to accept ok.

theres no error message, no emulation msg, nothing just this every time no matter what i do.

I have the 4 cd, i believe multi language version.

Any suggestions???

What you need is a clean install, no cracks and only DT 3.47... After you have loaded the mini-image, you simply need to execute the original sims2.exe in your install directory.

That should do it, if it doesn't, it may be an unknown error..

Where I downloaded the supposed crack, they said it worked with the DVD version but not with CD version. I take it they were talking about emulation not Crack. Is this RAR file for the emulation or is it a crack? Sorry to show my ignorance here.

This is what I did to get Sims 2 fully working on my computer

1. uninstall clone cd and delete all metions of clone and elaberite bites from regestry (spelling?)

2. install Alchol 120%

3. using orig cds make and images of them (for settings I used custom, skip error reading, and DPM) maximum speed for all things

4. install off the images

5. play game.

If this did not work for you then I have no idea why it isn't. I did not use any downloads, cracks, etc.

I used the cd version of the game. I would think that the DVD version would work also, with this method but I do not know

you have to emulate it with the daemon 3.47 with that 155kb sims2 mini image file and when you have emulated it replace the sims2.exe with the money sims2.exe crack version.

I got the DVD version going with the Daemon 347 and seems to work ok. Is Sims 2 Money a Sims ad on by Sims or a hack add-on? Either way can I buy the disc (assuming it is official) and if not where do i get it and what does it do? Also where do you put the No Censor or whatever patch in the program?

i downloaded sims2 alcohol clone clonegame, used alcohol 120% to burn it to 4 cds (but im not sure if i burned it on the safedisk mode , if that matters..) when i try to run the game from disk 1, the program exists itself even though the installation was successful. please help?

When using d-tools 3.33 when you mount the image it continues saying wrong disc. After updating the game to 1.0.0.971, i updated dtools to 3.47, and did the following:

Using what the good people at clonegame came about, and d-tools 3.47, mounting the first cd, it will prompt the wrong disc, i then changed emulation to safedisk and it auto played with build mode working perfectly fine. I have a120% installed though i never used it. I didnt try the shorten image file version, but the one above i mentioned works.

Hi, I found this forum by searching for a no-cd for the Sims 2. I tried a couple, but I was having the same building problems with the multi-langauge version.

I think I've found a solution at Gamecopyworld.com. It's the "The Sims 2 v1.0 [ALL] No-CD/Fixed Image #2" that's 138KB. This is an MDF-MDS rar file called "ind-sims.2.virtual.disk" and loaded it with Daemon Tools. The building option now works for me! You may need to reinstall, I'm not sure if the .exe remains crippled even if you copy the original back without reinstalling. I reinstalled and it all worked for me!

erm ... i know there's one official patch from maxis ... but the problem is, well ... im using the sims 2 dvd *pirated* version heh ... it works fine ... the building mode works fine as well as the save ... but when i ran the patch (for DVD) ive downloaded ... it said that i need to insert the dvd although my dvd was already inside the rom ... and when i downloaded the patch for the cd version ... it said that i need to insert disk 4 ... which means that i couldnt run the patch

i made everything with this guide, perfect! It works...nearly. When im in the game I can chose the neighbourhoods(sry i dont know how to write, i'm a german)). Then there is only 1 (Veronaville). Last time when i tried it with the crack there where 2 or 3. So, when i click on "Veronaville" it loads, but only 2 blocks (loading image) then it stops. I have been doing everything like the guide, i read it twice, didnt found anything i maybe have done not right :(

1. Just install the game (original copy or not, don't do anything with the original exe).
2. Install daemon tools (or alcohol, for clonecd follow the instruction in the readme), then enable emulation.
3. Mount the mini image.
4. Run the game, wait for about 15 seconds after the splash screen.

Enjoy playing, the build mode is working because you're running the original exe.

1. Right-click on the DAEMON Tools tray icon
2. Select Virtual CD/DVD-ROM
3. Set Number of Drives to '1'
4. Select Device [?:]
5. Click Mount
6. Browse and select the image you wish to mount
7. Click OK or double-click on the file to mount
8. Turn on 'Safedisc' in the emulation section
9. Double-click Sims 2 .exe file (make sure it is the ORIGINAL version)

hey pal, calm down.
if you don't want to die from boredom just play thesims2 without buildmode, it's better than nothing, there are cracks that disable the build mode but still the "sims" can live, so play until the bmw crack comes, OK.
just download the crack from gameburnworld, it doesn't crash or give any problem midway in game.

The emulation method seems to be the only way to get the latest official patch to work without a CD. The "Money" fixed exe is a pre-1.0.0.971 exe file and still needs an image loaded in order to work.

Thanks for the useful information from those who posted it (such as the "The.Sims.2.Virtual.Disk-iND" mini-image).

I have found that loading the mini-image with SoftDisc (and therefore Daemon Tools) seems to work well.

Why don't people research these things properly before complaining or asking for "the build mode working No CD patch"? If the game won't work with certain CD/DVD Emulation software running and you really want it to work, live with the fact that you will need to uninstall the software or don't try to use a no CD patch.

Not all games are crackable any more. Accept it.

guys look, the people who made sims 2 really jacked up security, so of course, it will take longer for people to crack the game. But the people who are trying to crack it wont spend every single day and night trying to get a crack working properly without having any bugs. If you really want to play the game that desperatly with the build mode enabled, use the emulation method i explained earlier, using Deamon Tools(Which i explained) or Alcohol 120%. Thats probably the only thing that you will be able to use for a while. It may be slow to load up, but at least its working.

Anybody can make their own mini-image using A120. Put CD/DVD in tray-Close. Start A120>Start Image Making Wizard. For the CD you only need about 5MB. For the DVD the mini image will be about 30MB, which means right after you START the Image making process you will need to cancel>YES, delete files> NO and save to a folder on desktop, wherever. Done. (Take your CD/DVD out of tray) Start your daemon tools, A120, or Gamejack and load your mini-image you just made and start your game. Good Night Now!

Get over yourself, there is NO PRACTICAL NOR RELATIVE GAIN OR PURPOSE TO USING OTHER FILE COMPRESSIONS OR CD IMAGE TYPES THAN THE STANDARDS .zip and .iso. Rar is not that much better, Ace is not better at all, ccd, mdf, etc are NOT better. They are annoying and time consuming in forcing users to download a myriad of accessories creating more danger of viruses and system/program incompatibilities.

Use .zip & .iso ... please.

No crack exists yet. But mounting a mini-image works. If you install the Sims 2 University and it asks for CD 4 of the original, it is trying to patch the game.

You should do this:
1. Reinstall Sims 2 CD or DVD
2. Launch it for the first time. (Use the mini-image for the original).
3. Exit and patch with the latest update from EA. The patch will ask for CD 4 or the DVD. You will NEED to either insert the correct CD or mount the REAL image.
4. Launch it again with the mini-image (for the original) to check if it is working after the patch.
5. Install Sims 2 university.
6. Mount the mini-image (for university) and play.

Im playing the International version of Sims 2 with the No-CD patch out there that doesnt have build mode. Is there a problem with saving also with that crack? I find that clicking the save button does nothing. I also found a DVD patch today that says it shoudl work with the CD version but it doesnt. Anyone know wnaything about a patch that saves properly for international CD version?

EDIT: This patch is Monday's No-DVD patch. I found it at gameburnworld.com and it says that it might work with CD. Anyone have any ideas?

you guys really need to stop asking these repeatative questions........the only thing you can use that will not block the build and buy mode is by using DAEMON Tools or Alcohol 120%! Im so tired of you people whining about if you can have a no cd crack!.....geez, READ THE WHOLE SIMS 2 THREAD!.....About three times other people like myself have told you how to use one of these programs!....just read the whole thread, you WILL find something useful. Dont waste your time waiting for that special someone to come and save the day with a single file crack that can bypass all of the Sims 2 security, it wont happen. Use DAEMON Tools or Alcohol 120%.....thats as best as it is going to get.

And for Sims 2 University.....search the web for a mini-disk file, there probably wont be a simple crack.

Ok all you have to do to get the Sims 2 to work without the cd all you need to do is:
1.Install the sims 2.
2.Download Daemon Tools
3.Download the attached file and extract them
4.Make sure all options and emulation or not ticked
5.Have the set number of devices to 1
6.Mount the extracted file.
7.Just Run the Game!!!

Ok guys if ya wanna make sims 2 work without the ACTUAL No-Cd hack this is a 100% sure fire way. It works great runs smooth and yes the build mode works. Make sure you dont have any clone files and make sure ya video card is updated as well as your direct xand you will finally get to play without the cd. Great job on getting this to the community and saving the sanity of those who have searched and searched for the no cd method :)

Not sure what you're trying to say bt sounds like you're having probs opeining the .rar file. Winzip wont open that file you will need to download winRAR to access the files in the fix.rar file. Theres not a difference in the .zip files and the .rar files except the big thing they are created and compressed with 2 different programs :) Justing closing my eyes and tossing a dart at ya problem hoping i hit the bullzeye :) :tease:

Prob guys is the people that know whats going on all agre that there wont be a ACTUAL crack anytime soon or maybe ever. Fact is the security on this game is pretty strict to the point that if the original .exe file is ever modified or tampered with build mode is disabled. Every crack you find is etiehr a temp fix without build mode, a faulty crack, or a trojan. Your best 100% sure fire way to run sims 2 without cd If you own the game of course is to get deamon tools and download the .mds file and you're ready to play simple as that. If ya scan through the threads Delta posted the fix.rar file that contains the .mds file ya need to run this game with daemon tools. So if ya plan to play anytime soon this will be ya only 100% way to play all f the game :)

I followed the instructions using Daemon Tools and it works fine :D I've tried all the different patches/cracks and none of them work so don't even try! My game runs perfectly without using the CD. Just follow the instructions and you8 will be fine :D

Mount the SIMS2.MDF CD-Image using Daemon Tools v3.47 or the latest Alcohol 120%.
Play the Game without the CD!

Ok I'm having a problem, with both the Sims 2 and Sims 2: University. I couldn't get Sims 2 to work even with a Daemon mounted image. I finally got Sims 2 to work by using money's nocd crack but thats no longer a option with University out.

After trying to start the game the sims 2 logo pops up, and then the game GPFs, I've got a image of the disk mounted with Daemon tools 3.47, and yes Safedisk is on, but it wont do anything but crash when I try to run it.

I'd thought this was a issue with my video card or something till I looked at the help files and found that a copy protection crash can occur on startup, and this crash has been happening at the same point it looks for the CD. So I think this is a copy protection related issue.

I'd really love some help on this, its kinda getting fustrateing Having a Daemon mounted image work for everyone except me :graysad:

Hi All,
I've had problems before but now all solved.

What a lot of people don't know is that Sims 2 has blacklisted CloneCD.
So if you have it installed, disable it's virtual drive or uninstall it.
It'll then work with the crack/daemon tools/mini images etc etc.

This should fix basically everything.

Ok problem fixed. The install of windows that I was trying to run it on was fairly old 6 months or so, so I tried a Daemon image on a fresh install ( it was getting about time anyway) it works fine. So now I no longer have to dig up the disks from where ever the hell by brother tosses em'. Yay! :beer:

Oh and just for the record, I didn't have CloneCD installed. I might have at some time in the past, but I think it wasnt on the last install of windows. Of course I could be wrong, and the sims 2 was picking a fight with some long forgotten regestry entry.

I work for a internet/gaming cafe. We prefer not to let the kids get their grubby fingers on our expensive original software cd's, so we use no cd patches on our software. We purchased Sims 2 University, but we don't have a patch yet. Any leads???

Thanks to Mattyo15189 I have found a crack that actually works....perfectly! I downloaded a crack from his site for my multi language version, and he also has a crack for university aswell. He even gave instructions in the downloads!

If it didn't work, check to make sure you followed the instructions properly. You may have emulation that would stop it from working or something like that, i read it in the instructions.

Well, I downloaded the Sims 2 University Crack from megagames. It ws strange, a mini image that I mounted with Daemon tools, and then I was supposed to start the game. I tried, but it still said "mkae sure the correct CD is inserted ....." etc. So I tried several other cracks from different sites. They were also mini images, and they produced the same result. The no CD crack for the Sims 2 by Money works fine, but so far I have not found a working crack for the Sims 2 University. When somebody does, please let us know.

Ok, I bought a legal version of TS2 DVD, but I lost the disk. Is there a chance that anyone knows that any of these No-CD cracks will work without me having the disc? I'd rather not buy another one, but, I would rather keep the $40 I already gave to them. lol

Edit: Nevermind! I read the rules about lost games :frown2: . So I guess I better check those heater ducts. Or maybe I dropped it in a blackened abyss..... lol
