I made the image and I used Daemon Tools , the game works perfectly but when I keep playing like more than 20 minutes it crashes saying that the program has been blocked and needs to close. Does anyone know how to fix this?????

you don't have to reinstall the sims... just copy back the original exe... from that big zip file on cd 4... its in the TSbin folder over there... then load the image and play the game.... and for those who already know about the mini image: why shouldn't i post it, cuz i see very much peepz who can't run The Sims 2 properly... post it yourself i u think ur such a good poster and don't blow my posts

I have been able to run sims 2 properly (100%) whitout a problem.
There is no CRACK today but you can run it whit deamon tools, (virtuel driver). Download the mini backup imige from www.gameburnworld.com and mount it whit the deamon tools. Then run sims 2 whit the original exe file.
This is whit the 4 cd mode! I don´t now if this works whit the DVD format, sorry!

I have sims2 installed, ran Daemon tools and mounted the image and I can play Sims2 with no problem and I also can build. Again, the DVD version does work with the mini image.

I even COPIED the installed version over to another directory and used the crack from megagames. It runs fine, except you cannot build. the build part to the crack will be fixed in time. I can run the game with Daemon.

The mini-backup image doesn't work for me. It sorta kinda goes, but when it starts to actually launch the game, it crashes. I am using Windows 98SE, so that may be why, of course it's very doubtful since the game is supposed to work on Windows 9x. I really don't want to have to make an image to mount since I am low on HD space...

I beg to differ that it will work with alcohol as it works just fine with an actual mounted image of the game, and I mounted it WITH alcohol. I just don't want to have a 700mb file on my computer to play the game without a CD.

I bought the game and couldn't get mine to work because of some emulation message complaining about nero which I use to write mp3's and .fla music so I'm not removing it and besides its a legal program and they shouldn't be nosing around my computer looking at the programs on it. But the crack does make the game play now but building doesn't work. So if you use Daemon Tools will you still get the Emulation message if you have nero or clone cd?

OK. The mini backup image does work. You cannot have Alcohol installed, as stated earlier! You install Daemon Tools 3.47, mount the image and run the game. Works flawlessly. Thanks a lot guys, I was getting ready to have a total BF! lol

I disabled virtual drive in alcohol and install daemon tools and use it to mount the image of the first cd. It works fine but i keep on playing it till it's like 10 mins after running it. It stops responding around 1 min or 2 then it's back on working. and when i save the game it takes like 5 mins or more. but i can build. anyone has these problems?

I found out how to get rid of emulator error!! If uninstaling clonecd and alcohol doesn't work. You'll have to use a tool for deleting registry files. I used RegCleaner. There delete all files that have something to do with these programs. After uninstal I still had to remove two files for CloneCD (one marked CloneCD) and the other wasn't registered to any program, but was registered by Slysoft) and two other for alcohol.. So delete them. mount the mini image and play!! You should at least try it...

Okay, I uninstalled CloneCD (I haven't ever used Alcohol in the past so I haven't had to worrya bout that), then re-installed Sims 2. I then used the mini image with Daemon Tools. When running that, it gave me an error about needing DirectX 9 even though I was sure I already had it. I reinstalled DirectX 9 anyway, and now I'm getting a blank error box when I try to run it. Any suggestions?

My questions still have not been answered, nor has my problem been solved. When I try to use any of the supposedly working NO CD patches, I get an error "The program has terminated. The application will now close."

It doesn't matter if I have alcohol/clonecd installed or uninstalled, nor does it matter what crack I used. Same error on all scenarios. I am starting to think that the cracks available are for the ENGLISH version only, so those of use with the Multilanguage or other non-english games are screwed until a real crack comes along unless someone has indeed fixed this problem.

When i try it with Daemons all it does is open the folder with all the files in it, i tried opening it with alcohol 120% and it didnt work either same thing just opened the folder.

I had the same problem. I used Daemons and followed the instructions for mounting the Mini Cd1 and it opens the drive with all of the files. When I click on Setup or AutoRun a small black window opens for about 2 seconds and dissapears. There is also no sign of a desktop shortcut. Please help.

I installed Alcohol after installing The Sims 2 and it works :-)

If you get a Problem about the emulation or think that you have a problem with the Emulations of Alcohol 120% or DaemonTools,you have to do this to solve it, IF it is a Eulation problem:

In Daemon Tools under Drive Parameters change the Name of your Virtual Drives to any but not the default Names, be sure to us the Last Version.
--> This helps if you think Daemon Tools are blacklistet

In Alcohol 120% : You need to deinstall Alcohol 120%; If you wish you could clear your Registry of all "Alcohol*" Entries. Most Times not neccessary.
Install Alcohol , check The Box with says "Expert Installation" than you can rename your Virtual Drives and The Virtual SCSI Drivers, change the Name of those Drivers to any but not the default Names, be sure to us the Last Version of Alcohol (V1.9.2)

If you have an Error Like "Application Crashed" and so on...

1. Update your Graphic Card Drivers.
2. Update your Sound Cards Drivers.
3. Update your Mainboard Drivers.

If you did this , and the game keeps Crashing, You have some sort of Error which may be fixed if the first Patch for Sims 2 is coming out.

Dont Forget : A Game which is out, is often some sort of Unpatched Beta Software, many new Games wont run on every PC without proper Patching, and maybe The Sims 2 is such a game...

First you have to get daemon tools 3.47 and alcohol 120%

When you have download them you, install them both.

Then you have to go to gamecopyworld to get a "crack"

When you have download it unzip the file "sims2_1.mir"

Then open "sims2_1.mir" with daemon tools. You do it by starting daemon tools up. Left click on it in the taskbar. Click on devico 0: and then you just find the file "sims2_1.mir"

Then start alcohol. Click on Emualtion and make sure that "Iqnore Media Type", "Launch" and "RMPS" are on! Go down to Extra Emulation and remember that all there are on to.

Now click on Virtual Driver and set it as 0 or 2. Click on "Image Making Wizard". Find that driver you open sims2_1.mir with on daemon tool (Here with me it are H). Say next then instal it there where it will be install!! DONT TRY TO CHANGE WHERE IT WILL BE INSTALL!! THEN IT DONT WORK.

Then just say start. No need to change type, just let it stand on .mds! You will soon see alots of errors (just ++++ them) then when it are finish, click okay. Shutdown alcohol. Left click on daemon tools in the taskbar and say device 1: there where you crack'et the file with alcohol (They .mds file).
Found that file! Then you open "sims2_1.mds" (it's about 8kb) go in to you sims2 and start sims2.

YOU NEED THE REAL SIMS2.EXE FILE OR IT DONT WORK! It's about 14-15mb big and are call sims2.exe

Now it should work!! Dont uninstall alcohol or daemon tools and dont remove the "sims2_1.mds" for the device 1! Then it should work cause it works with me

Sig next. Ingen grund til at ændre dens type (MDS). Start det, du vil hurtig se mange fejl. Bare ++++ dem. Nå den er færdig click okay. Luk alcohol. Venstre click på daemon tools i taskbar. Tag device 1: og find den fil du lige har cracket med alcohol (.MDS filen). Open "sims2_1.mds" (Den fylder vel ca 8kb). Gå ind i sims2 og start sims2.exe

DU SKAL HAV DEN RIGTIG SIMS2.EXE FILE ELLERS VIRKER DET IKKE! Den fylder ca 14-15mb og hedder sims2.exe

if u still get this message, u need to search your windows registry for this strings "Alcohol" and "Clone" and do some manual deleting of entries, which could be in some connection with Alcohol 120% and CloneCD/DVD

If you had actually read this thread you would not be making such a fool of yourself with a dumb question.
It has been stated many times that Alcohol and Sims 2 don't mix, as is the case with CloneCD.
ROMOVE both these programs from your system by using the proper uninstall option (not just deleting the folders like some fool did) and then use Daemon Tools to mount the mini image.
If this is proving difficult for you, I sugest that you look back through previous posts in this thread as there are enough clear instructions on this matter allready. I posted some before but I've no idea which post number it was, so just look through for my avatar until you find my link to the guide!
I'm using the multi language version but I read up a bit first and I've had no trouble with running the game what so ever.

Actually, I have Alcohol 120% and have NO problem running The Sims 2. All I have to do is mount CD 1 on the virtual DVD-ROM drive that Alcohol creates, and the game's Autorun executes and the game launches. Then, I can even exit the game do something else and then just double click the desktop icon and the game will run since the CD image is still mounted on the virtual drive.

It's a mystery to me why some people aren't able to get the game to work with Alcohol. I don't think I changed any of the settings for it or anything. Just thought I'd let me know that Alcohol CAN work with The Sims 2

I've just recently got my copy of Sims 2, and to my dismay, after installing it compleatly and successfuly without any signs of error, it will not load. The large "The Sims2" banner with the white background shows up, but nothing further comes about.

I'm running windows 98se, the disk does not work in either my cd-rw drive or my conventional 48x drive. I've attempted to use the Sims2_1_RIP.MDS approche, burning the alternate file to cd and attempting to use that in order to get the game running. Again, same problem as before.
And obviously, any noCD approches dont result in full playability.

I did the following:

I uninstalled CloneCD
I deactivated Alcohol by uncheking "Ignore Media Typ" in the Options
I made a image out of my Sims2 CD1.

I mounted the Image of the First CD with Deamon Tools
And I've started the game with the original exe.

Me either mate, I use clone CD CD ver 5.0.2.2 to whip up an image using the copy protected game option then mount aforementioned image using Alcohol.
Odd way to go about things I know but it`s how I handle safedisc these days. Tis hell when the kids all wanna play the one copy

I have reinstalled sims2 several times after updating not only directx but my drivers.(I have also reinstalled the updated directx 9 twice as well as my video drivers just incase there was an error the first time) I have also tried using Daemon tools and just now Alchohal. ALL resulting in the same errors. I have the multi language 4 cd disk of sims2. Any other help would be appreciated since at this point it is no longer a matter of playing the game with no cd but wondering now if my comp can even handle playing sims2. Yup that card is capable. I`m running 2 cards with that chipset in machines here, Both run the game perfectly no probs with the original or a ripped multi language disk. (No problems besides the build mode on the rips that is ;)

Lowest spec I've tried to date is a AMD 900 Tbird with 32 meg agp and 256 meg of pc133 ram. So assuming your specs are higher and your running ME or higher I can`t see a problem.
I`d go back to the beginning and start with a fresh OS install, video\sound drivers and then the Sims and DX9 bundled. Then install Alcohol 120 reeboot the machine then see if the game sparks up.

Or alternatively if your running a copy buy an original and when a good working no CD crack comes out stick the original on eBay and take a tenner loss :)

Tis a cunning plan that I obviously don't intend to use.

I have had some of the same problems with this game as the rest of you and I finally got it to work, no problems at all. Just do the following, step by step and you should be able to play the game as well. (I am not using the DVD version).

1. Download the mini image file. When that is done extract the file and rename the file's extention from .mir to .iso. (This file can be gotten from www.gamecopyworld.com or I think that is the name).
2. Download and install Daemon Tools v3.47.
3. After you have the 4 image files on your computer (4 mdf's files and 4 mds's files) you need to uninstall CloneCD, Alcohol 120%, Nero and The Sims 2 if you have it installed. Do this via your control panel, not with the uninstallers that come with each program.
4. Run a Registry Cleaner of some sort, does not matter which one.
5. Right click on the Daemon Tools icon that is down by your clock and choose "Options". Under "Emulations" click on "Safedisc".
6. Mount the first image with Daemon Tools and follow the instructions that Daemon Tools gives and install the game.
7. When you are done installing the game do not choose to play the game. Close out the window that tells you that The Sims 2 has been installed.
8. Unmount the image that is in Daemon Tools, the will be the fourth image/CD.
9. Right Click on the Daemon Tools icon, choose "options" and under "Emulations" uncheck "Safedisc".
10. Mount the iso image with Daemon Tools and shrink down the window that will open up.
11. Click on the desktop icon of The Sims 2 and your game will start and you will be able to play without any problems.

When the window opens up, you do not click on anything. Just shrink the window down to your taskbar and then click on The Sims 2 desktop icon. Again, do not click on any file inside the iso when it opens up.

When you install the game, use Daemon Tools. Prior to mounting the first image, left click on the Daemon Tools icon in your system tray and under options click on Safedisc. Mount the first image and follow the instructions on the screen. When you receive the pop up window telling you that you have installed The Sims 2, choose the options "Quit", do not play the game yet. Unmount the image in Daemon Tools and right click on the system tray icon again and under emulations click on all options off. Click on the icon again, this time select whatever is the virtual drive and then select mount image. This time you want to mount that mini-image. When you do this a window is going to open up, do not click on anything in that window (you'll only get error messages). Shrink that window down to your taskbar then click on The Sims 2 desktop icon and the game will start. Daemon tools will be running the mini-image, not the game. The info in that mini-image is what is missing from the disc, thats why there have been the same error messages over and over

I bought the dvd version for my wife and I am using the mini-image. it works like a charm, you just have the read the thread carefully. It may load the game a little longer, but at least you can use the build mode. I know alot of you want to play the game "right now", but if you take the time and read the directions then you can play the game with the mini-image just fine. I thought that the image would hard to use but it loads up with Daemon tools automatically and I use Alcohol 120 for my other images and I have no problems yet.

i think it would be better if a real decent working crack was realesed this thing with the mini image probably works but i doubt it any way using thei mini image takes up too much time and can be dangerous for inexpierenced users messing with the registery is just asking for trouble if any one has a proper working crack please post the link and share it with us all

Look at post #602, it's on this page and it is between 601 and 603. Had you of done just a minumial amount of research you would have found that all a registry cleaner does is to go in and remove left over keys, that are no longer needed, or used, from programs that have been removed from your computer. There are multiple registry cleaners out there, most under 1mb, that would do that job for you in a minute or two and it really should be part of a monthly maintance that you do on your computer. You can find them at www.majorgeeks.com or www.tucows.com they are very simple to use and with removing all the junk out of your registry that is no longer in use helps with the performance of your computer.

For those people getting the error message about emulation detected, the solution is this:

You have to install CloneCD (im sure you know that), but after that, you have to go to the registry and check for the following keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elaborate Bytes\CloneCD\Settings
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slysoft\CloneCD\Setting s

If either of those two are present, you will get the error when starting the game. You can either rename or delete the keys, and that should fix it.

I tried using both fixed exes but I couldn't build, the game was running slow, I couldn't modify some graphics related settings and couldn't apply the no censorship patch because the size was different form the original Sims2.exe file. Tried spitfire's mini-image but didn't work so I d/l (as advised) the most recent trial version of Alcohol 120% and installed it and then proceeded to load the image. It worked! Now I can apply the no censorship patch (since I'm using the original Sims2.exe) and the game runs faster, smoother and all video settings are available. Thank guys. I need to use my CDs a little as possible because I live near the ecuator and there's a fungus of the Geotrichum genus that eats away the aluminium of CDs. So I got to keep them bagged and stored in a place with low humidity and it's a drag to have to fetch, unbag and use whenever I want to use a game I have bought. Thanks again.

Ok now i may sound whiney but i did the daemon tools thing, dowloaded the Media Description File...louded it onto Daemon tools but i still recieve an error saying "Please Eject and re-insert the CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"...Ive done everything...made an image of the original on a CD but it still seems to hate me...please help

OK i am NOT noob to any of this, and i have seen this question posted by 2 other people with NO replys, i have used EVERY workaround posted on here, using daemont tools, no cd, bla bla bla, everytime i Mount the mini image to daemon tools and run it, it tells me to

INSERT THE CORRECT DISK AND RESTART THE APPLICATION,

now i have tried like 4 differnt downloads of the Mini image, renaming the extension, burning it, mounting it to EVERYTHING , Alcohl, Daemon, and so on, same problem, YES i DO have the Origional, EXE casue i ALWAYS back it up before cracking, NO i do not have Clone CD (yes i read just about every post, and i know im not asking a question that has already been asked/answeared) YES all of my drivers/Direct X is up to date, i have tried running the game with all emulations on/off/each one seperate (Daemon Tools of course) as well as random combinations, and i have tried EVERYTHING people have posted on the forum to no avail( i actually read all the posts, imiagnine that huh :D) i have the 4 CD version as well, Any ideas? thank you,... and i just might bug every one till i get a reply j/k :D

The only thing i did whas dl the latest version of deamon tools.
Uninstalled Clonecd ---That did the trick.
Downloaded the img of spitfire and inserted it in deamon tools and voila.

The onley prob that i have is the saving in the game but i can fixe that.

I've been vaguely keeping up with this topic as I would like a NO CD sims 2 crack or a backup. I've been attempting to use alcahol to get an image file and then use Deamon tools but Alcahol won't work properly (it's my first time using these programs). It keeps getting read errors and lots of them. It'll keep going but takes about 10 minutes ot get to 1.2% and with a read speed of 52x thats pathetic. Anybody know whats wrong?

yeah, you on earth you making all this huge Fourm of The Sims 2 Craks Etc... but there isnt one crack around here.

and it all worked perfectly, build mode and evrything worked.

then when i went to go and play the sims for the 2nd time the game loaded but just like all of the nocd cracks, no build mode or save option works.

i think this is because when i go to open the image in daemon tools its doesnt load. it loaded on the 1st time but it doesnt anymore. can any1 help me on this?

i followed MeHateMe's guide on how to crack the sims, it woked fine, time after time.
i booted the game 5 times without remounting or any freezing. everything in teh game works fine. i have the muliti language version of the sims.

check cd 1, im at school right now so i cant check it. on cd 1 there is the .exe file, i think it whas under data.. just mount image cd number 1 and check map data.. there it should be.. i'm not gonna send you the file becouse its 14 mb so its a little bit to big for me.. good luck m8 ;)

I found my own effective way of getting a backup copy of the game to run, it does require the first CD though.

Firts, uninstall the game if it is installed. Reinstall it with Daemon Tools running and have SafeDisc emulation on. Then once the game is installed, enjoy! Daemon Tools must always be running with SafeDisc emulation on in order to run the game unfortuneatly.

I've been trying to use daemon tools to get the sims 2 up and running, but it gives me an error every time it starts up. It tells me that the program has encountered a problem and must shut down...etc, etc. If anyone has any advice, I'd be very grateful.

It doesn't say anything in those instructions about removing nero or clonecd so does this work with those programs still installed.

If you install the NEWEST Alchohol 120%, Clone CD, Daemon-Tools(4.7), and Nero, an original of Sims 2 will now install and play with NO error or conflict messages. I just updated these four programs and then installed our Sims 2 with no problems. Wife and kids are playing it just fine with these newest versions installed and running etc.

I have a problem when installing daemon tools v3.47 and Alchol 120%. Every time after the installation the computer goes into windows xp for same while then suddenly the icons goes black and the computer hangs. This doesn't happen when its not installed. Daemon Tools v3.33 works 100% but can't play sims 2 because its blacklisted. Need help please!!! I got the that image file that works and you can build. If anyone can give a solution to the problem give me your email an i'll mail it to you!!!

Here is how I got Sims 2:
I bought the game at a computer store and came home put in cd 1 and installed fine. Until I put in the 4th cd the installer jumps to 100% and said "Cannot find sims 2.exe" then it wipes off the game. Well it didn't seem to do that in the DVD Writer it worked 100%. So I took the game back and didn't want to give me a other copy so they gave me vouchers. I still have the sims 2 installed on my computer. I will buy Sims 2 as soon as the shop gets stock.

I followed the instructions to the letter and made the image file, but when i launch the sims I get an error message saying emulator software found.

I am using the latest version of alocohal and deamon manager and i have uninstalled nero just in case.

these programs are not used for a nocd crack but its basicly the same thing. they create images of your cd's so that it as if they are really in the drive but they really are not. so it can be used as a type of a nocd. you can use these programs if you either have your original cd or you can find one on the internet. just read above and use the instructions that i posted.

Very helpful Ripken ,Just one thing , It says you will need the original sims2.EXE file, Im a bit new to this , and I installed off a copied backup thinking that no-cd patch would work ok , will it still be the Sims2.EXE original after installing game off back up , or will I need to find an original from somewhere for it to work ??

If I do , have u any advise ??

i rly dont know, it shuld work. but you dont need the original to set everything up, only to run the sims. so i would follow the instructions and if build mode doesnt work then it is bevause of the .exe file.

i fiksed my save game problem:D

The onley thing i did was updated my directx and my graphic drivers.
+ i runned a scan with ad-aware.
now my game runs perfectly:D:

I may well have missed something on this thread, but i seem to have read quite a few people describe the same problem as i have experienced, and as of yet i haven't seen a fix for the problem.

I have used the most recent method of mounting an mds with daemon tools v3.47, as mentioned by "MeHateMe"

Everything appears to be hunky dory, until i attempt to move a family into the neighbourhood, then i get the familiar error - "the application has crashed, the application will now terminate"

i have been scrathing my head for nearly a week on this problem, yet still have no solution. Before it's mentioned, i have updated drivers so i doubt that this is the problem.

Any help will be extremly helpful, because i'll go bald before long!

If you want it to work without cd, go to ++++++++ and under the games section for pc, look for the sims 2 no cd mini image by spitfire. Its 29 mb, just download it using bit torrent then extract the rar thats 17 mb. Use daemon to mount it, and set all emulation protect thingys on, then use the original sim 2 icon to play. Works fine.

I am trying to use alcohal and demon tools, and I have followed all the instructions to the letter...but still when I run the sims 2 it just comes up saying that cd/DVD emylation software has been detected...please disable...

How do you get around this error message when using the alcohal and deamon tools method.

Um, I think you just right click on daemon in the task bar, and go to emulations and u have to enable all of them, safe disc, laser, and what other ones that are in there , I think there are 4, enable all and then it should start up, I got mine to work without the need for alcohol 120, cuz I used bit torrent to get the mini image fromt this one site.

Just because one hasnt been made yet it doesnt mean its uncrackable. It is obvious that people are having trouble racking the game, hence this thread was made. People will make one but obviously they are experiencing difficulties. Just give them time and if your that desperate to play the game just put in your cd of the game or use alcohol or deomon tools.

Its not that hard with daemon toold, it takes a few click and when u close it, its still mounted the next time you open it, so why is there so much complainig. Hopefully we will get a crack soon. :dozey:

I had that problem to but when i uninstalled Clone cd it worked so maybe you should try that?

follow this!!!! if there is a problem then it may be another program such as "clone cd"

and i am not able to send this to someone because it has to be done on your computer. it doesnt create a patch or new .exe file. it makes it as if there is the real cd in the cd drive.

hi there again, i posted a msg last page asking for help, so far no reply, has anyone else had any trouble with the thought bubbles and the task squares at the top being blank? the game works 100% fine using the mini-image other than this, and i would like to know whats going on. using the ppl already made was fine, its just the ppl ive made that dont have anything in the speech bubbles or even on the right hand side squares where its sposed to show the face of all the ppl in ur family etc. any help?? running 2.6GHz HT cpu, 512Mb RAM, 128Mb GeForce FX5200 graphics.

you could try to install the latest drivers of your geforce fx5200
and i asume you already have installed directX9c this does make the difference.

gooi die hele sims2 van je hardeschijf "behalfe de iso's"
heb je geen iso's regel dit dan op een of de andere manier.
download dan de nieuwste deamon tools "zoek bij google deamon tools" als het goed is direct de eerste in de lijst.
installeer dit.
dan moet je op nieuw opstarte. "ook doen"
dan heb je een icoon rechts onderin. "bliksem icoon"
rechter muis er op kliken selecteer dan emulation -> savedisk
dan word het icoontje groen
mount dan de image's via rechter muis -> mount device 0 -> zoek dan de image op
instaleer dan de sims en als hij vraagt om cd 2 dan mount je cd2 net zoals je dat deed met cd1. doe dit ook zo met cd 3 & 4
als dit klaar is moet die het doen "bij mij wel"
Gooi clone cd er af EA heeft dit geblack listed zo als dat heet.
anders krijg je z'n fout: emulation software detected : of zo iets
"GEEN NO/CD CRACK ER OVER HEEN GOOIEN."

sims 2 is working 100% with build option
uninstall the sims 2
download daemon tools newest version "not old versions they won's work"
install it and reboot if asked
then a icoon will show up in the quick menu right under "thundershaft icon"
right click on it -> emulation -> savedisk "select"
the icon will turn green when activated
now mount the image Sims2_1.ccd, img, iso .mdf .bin ect
do this as followd. right click daemon icon -> virtual cd/DVD rom -> device 0 -> search for the image Sims2_1
NOTE : THE IMAGE FILES MUST BE STORED AT THE HARD DRIVE.
now the install screen should appear. install this.
it wil ask for cd 2,3,4 mount the cd just as you did with cd1.
if the install is complete you can play WITH BUILD OPTION
DO not use a no/cd crack. else it won't work properly

Just wanted to say that the latest CloneCD works perfectly for me and the Sims2. No need to use daemon or alcohol.
Just make sure that "hide CDR media" is disabled in the CloneCD tray when you boot the PC - that's all.
I also made an image (PlexWriter 24/10/40A), CloneCD setting "Game CD" or "Protected PC Game" and mounted it with the latest VirtualCloneDrive - works perfectly for me, including save game and build mode.
So - forget about all the complicated stuff and use the lates CloneCD and VirtualCloneDrive (www.slysoft.com). Hope this helps to clear up the CloneCD questions!

Hey, New to the forum. I have installed both Alcohol 120 and DT on my computer at different times and both times after I install and restart my computer comes up with an error and asks if I want to start in Safe Mode or with the last known working configuration. What gives? Please help would love to have a happy girlfriend who can build in the Sims 2.

There is a way to RUN the game from ISO without getting the Emulation error, i know because thats how my game is. 4 ISOs on DVD, I am able to mount the images and play normaly. E-mail me to find out how. In the Subject type "SIMS 2 ERROR HELP"

yes of course there is. daemon tools is an emulation program so is alchol 120%. i also have the 4 images on a dvd disk "see above for a walkthrough"

I used Daemon tools, and it works fine, but when ever I use a cheat the cheat box appears and i type in the cheat (any cheat, i've tried alot of them so far) and the box grows bigger and it turns blue above it and the cheat I just typed appears in the blue. Any one else have that problem? It only goes away if I restart Sims2. Also there is no music (which is actually a good thing) in build/buy or make a sim mode. Is that normal or is there a problem?
