Spyro 3 having problems on my mod chipped PS1

Ok, my sister is just playing with my ol' PS1 and got fond of the Spyro games.

She beat the 1st two and wants to play the third. We bought Spyro 3 at radio shack and now it won't work on my mod chipped PS1 without saying some bs about my playstation being modified.

Now, the first two played fine on it and they were both burned, what really confuses me is that our Spyro 3 is retail and it gives us this bs now.

I know it's an old assed game but any info and help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Think spyro 3 had antimod protection , can't remember. Anyway make a image of the game, patch with the protection fix here http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_patches_s_3.shtml usa/ntsc or eur/pal depending where you are , burn and hopefully it should work.

Patch is ppf so you will need ppf-o-matic aswell.

Don't bother!
There were never any working patches for Spyro 3.
All failed in one way or another.
With the supposed 100% fix it failed in last stage.
