Hi

I've been storing my music on my PC becuase I dont use my CD player very much.

However I'm running a bit low on hard drive space.

I was told that converting the mp3 files to WMA files halfs the file size. If I did this and decided to create a CD would I or Nero be able to convert them back?

Thanks
Luke

P.S
I think I posted this in the correct forum.

you could convert the bitrate to a lower one. instead of 192 to 128 (cd quailty)
or just do a data cd on nero and put the mp3's on there. saves alot converting and get about 180 odd songs on there

Hi thanks for replying.

Just wondering how I would go about lowering the Bit rate?

Is there a program I need to download?

Thanks
Luke

yep u would need something like CDEX and recode all ur MP3's which would most prob take ages. i know it would for me.
just put on a CD or something it is a lot easier or a DVD if u got one.

I've never noticed an actual size difference between MP3s and WMAs, just that WMAs are ++++ing stupid as they only work with WMP.

AAC is the most compact commononly used format, iTunes encodes in their own gay form of AAC called .m4a, I believe that WinAmp uses real AAC encoding however.
