Hey guys,

I wanted to issue a challenge for someone to crack Baldur's Gate so that I can play it on my new Tablet PC.

I've looked in the magagames.com patches section and downloaded all the no-cd cracks. They work fine, as long as my Tablet is docked with a cd drive attached, but when I undock, and no longer have a cd drive, I get a new error that says the game cannot detect a cd drive and cannot be played.

I'm running Windows XP Tablet PC edition, and have done a full install of Baldur's Gate v1.1.4315. I have purchased two copies of the game, one on Dvd, and one on CD when I thought I had lost the first one.

I have yet to complete the game, because I'm always on the go, which is why I'd love to have this crack.

I even downloaded W32Asm8.9 and Hiew8.6, and replaced references in the game in the GetDriveTypeA procedures from ...005 to ...003, which got rid of the "no cd drive" error, but caused the game to crash instead.

Who wants to pop their knuckles and dig in to this one?

Thanks for your help,

frak
