As seen from this year's Xbox booth at E3, it was better than ever, indeed the best E3 for Xbox yet. Thousands of fans were there to see the action of the year's most awaited and anticipated game, Halo 2.

Halo 2-
Three simple words. Best. Shooter. Ever.

-20+ weapons, including Battle Rifle, SMG, Needler, Pistol, Plasma Pistol, Covenant Carbine, Slug Thrower, Plasma Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Fuel Rod Gun, shotgun, and the new almighty Plasma Sword.

-24 Different environments, ranging from battles on earth, to the moon, and another Halo installation.

-A whole new game experience is in the way it differs from Halo, new vehicular damage that effects the way your vehicle handles and cosmetically; destructable/interactive environments that allow you to push around different items ranging from barrels to even rocks as well as destroy them; a new sound engine that is so good it lets you actually HEAR the gunfire and ricochet of bullets and TELL where it is coming from; the graphics engine allows NO repeating pattern of ANYTHING, such as grass, rocks, trees, or even some walls, EVERYTHING looks different; EVERYTHING has its own bumpmap and details, nothing was slacked off on; and finally, new abilities like hijacking, dual wielding, and even sprinting have been added into the game.

-Many new enemies have been added and all of the ones from the original Halo have been integrated into the game, also, such as grunts, jackals, elites, hunters, brutes, prophets, a new giant covenant beast, the new flood, and possibly more that have not been mentioned.

-All of the original vehicles from Halo will are incorporated into the game, as well as MANY new ones, the vehicles vary from the warthog (rocket launcher or chaingun), ghost, banshee, the new ATV, the new shadow, the wraith will now be drivable, the scorpion, (possibly) the longsword fighter, and (possibly) more than what is mentioned.

-New mannable turrets vary from chainguns to stationary plasma cannons. Also I've heard rumors that a rocket turret is being added to the game, this may or may not be true.

-New multiplayer online mode has been added, thus building toward the best multiplayer ever, as online was all that the original Halo was lacking. All vehicles will now be drivable in multiplayer (some are only for certain levels, though), and you will be able to pick up EVERY single weapon.

-Also, the fact that you can now drive ANY vehicle in the game (with the exception of dropships), and pick up ANY weapon in the game, so there is now no leave outs like not being able to drive the Wraith or not being able to pick up an FRG or Plasma Sword in Halo.

-AI has been updated to a point that if you stare at a marine long enough he/she will say or do something because of it. Also, now the AI (human and enemies alike) actually THINKS before it enters a battle, like contemplating whether to attack, stand ground, or fall back and such, thus making battles FAR more realistic and tactical. The AI also work more of squads instead of acting independant and they will use teamwork and actual tactics (for example, they will flank, call support, form a phalanx, etc). There will also be specialty type AI for humans and covenant alike, for example, there will be close assault marines armed with Battle Rifles, SMGs and such, there will be heavy weapons (rocket launcher) marines, snipers, medics, and they will actually know what they are supposed to do and how to do it, take a sniper for instance, he/she will sit back and pick off enemies from a reasonable distance while close assault troops storm an enemy base, or a medic for example he will stay back and take care of wounded troops, and for the covenant there will be commanders, and such, and you WILL be able to tell the difference, you will notice higher ranking covenant officials will hold their weapons different ways, use tactics differently, and the way they fight will be different, and this varies in a huge size, for there are many ranks. The covenant AI will act also as more of a squad, and you will notice that the higher ranking covenant will actually command their troops, and act as more of a commander. You will notice the difference in the ranks, like the grunt will act as more of a lower ranking troop, and the elite will act as if it were a real commander. Some of the enemies may outsmart the most seasoned Halo players (depending on the difficulty, of course, Halo 2 does not have to have an expert to play it, actually it will be very friendly to new gamers, although you may set it on higher difficulties for a real challenge).

-Each marine has different facial markings, and backgrounds, no marine is like another, also more female marines will be in the game, representing, snipers, medics, and such.

-Each weapon has its very own unique sound, so you will have a chance to know what you are up against in a battle.

-Covenant Engineers will also appear, but they are harmless and just go around fixing things.

-There are also rumors of Halo 3, I may add.

Considering that Bungie has much experience in making sequels, and they know how to make them GOOD, and by seeing all the info, I am confident in saying this will be the greatest game of my life, and many of yours. Peace to Bungie.

It should be noted that this is in no way saying "Mine is better than yours!", mods, it is just listing info for the Xbox fans out there, just want them to know.

Lets just hope the plot isn't as bad as the first, it seems to have alot (albeit not revolutionary) going for it.

I used to be a huge Bungie fan, but then they released the third game of the Marathon seires and that kind of put me off them, hopefully Halo 2 will be good enough to change that.

I have not witnessed the Marathon series, but I think that Halo had a brilliant plot, that was actually thought out, unlike some of these other games, but your opinion of what is a good plot is probably different from mine. We do not know much about Halo 2's plot so far, except the Covenant are attacking earth, a new Halo installation is involved, and it will have many shocking twists and turns. And yes, it is EVOLUTIONARY, not revolutionary, but it does indeed, like you said, have alot going for it, and it has MAJOR fan support, and I do mean major. I think it should get GOTY, IMO.

I think thats the biggest problem with games now days. They center solely on Inet/multiplayer gaming and lose focus on the single player mode of games. When was the last time you saw a PC title that didn't have a multiplayer function available on it? Consoles are slowly reaching this plateau as well with Xbox live and Sony's Inet games as well. I'm all for MP games but sometimes you wanna just kick back and play a fairly engrossing Single player game just cause you can. Most of the newer games focus so much on MP stuff that the single player portion makes them no worth while.

That's what RPGs are for my friend :)

As for PC games with no multiplayer... Doom 3's multiplayer is a complete joke.

Haven't tried the MP yet but the single is great. Even the RPG's now have a multiplayer mode even and a select few RPG's out there are really worth playing. I think KoTOR was the last actual RPG I enjoyed as of late even tho I've seen 5 or 6 new ones come out they kinda just didn't have what KoTOR had and Nwn and ToEE games are good but they weren't that good. I think we need a new format for RPGs anyway I liked the Morrowind/elderscrolls engine and premice just wish I could find Morrowind now lost my CD or it was taken and can't find it in stores..
