Hi, I know how to make DVDS but sometimes I think I am using the incorrect software. Sometimes my sound skips ahead and I think its because of the program I use.

I am using Mainconcept for AVI to MPEG(DVD Ready) and I am also using TMPGenc to authorise. What are the best freeware programs that you can use to convert to DVD.

To be honest there aren't many (if any) decent freeware DVD converting programs all the best ones, you need to buy. As suggested above Cucusoft is very good. http://www.avi-vcd.com/

Pff, I do all my XVID/WMV/MPG/DIVX to DVD using only freeware and opensource tools.

To convert from a format to another, use avidemux (avidemux.sf.net).

Once you have your MPG in PS/DVD format, you can choose your favourite tool for converting to a VOB and burning. I use DVDStyler on Linux or QDVDAuthor. Both depend on a host of tools available for Linux, but all of them are available for WIN32 these days as well.

www.winavi.com
i use that and not have one problem with it. just make sure ur AVI files are not skipping sound. btw if it spans it to 2 dvd's which it has done once or twice for me, i use DVDshrink to shrink it and put it all on 1 DVD

i have used winavi as well Essexman.. but i have seen that the sound is out of sync on some that i have converted.. but watching the avi on the pc there is no sync problems.. i think winavi has a hiccup now and again, but its damn fast at converting!

Hi there!
Recently I've found the program, wich convert swf to video. You can download it here:
http://www.geovid.com/Flash_to_Video_Encoder_PRO/flash-to-video-encoder-pro.exe
Using this prog you can add your logo to final video.
Quite nice program!

WinAVI is the best app out there that could convert most of the popular formats to popular formats... Just go for WinAVI. I've using it for a long time converting videos in my system. It can also convert Real player's RM file and Quicktimes MOV file and DIVX AVIs too.
