ps2 dvd movie appears twitchy

I have converted DivX movie to DVD format(vob),
after burning and putting DVD into my PS2 the movie appears twitchy, every 2 second it stops for about 0.5 second and then plays again.
Do you know why it happens so? Can it be that my DVD disc is damaged
or bad written? I have tried to play movie on PC with PoverDVD and it plays fine.

Could be the conversion wasnt right. When converting to DVD-5 do make sure your not hogging resources by doing other things such as playing games or listening to mp3's etc.

If your not gonna do anything like that anyways, if the option in the software to set the process priority is there then set to highest and leave to convert.

did u scan the AVI for any errors??
wot program did u use for converting??
i use winAVI has not let me down once.

Yes in converting proccess another program has been runing - Shareaza. It eats many CPU resources.

But why on PC it plays fine?
