Can i play backups online?

I was wondering if it is possible to play backups online using the swap disc?
I want to know before i buy the online adapter.

Yes, it's possible with swap magic discs. If you're able to backup a game with no problem you would be able to go online with it aswell just need to patch it with WinDIP v1.7. The Disk ID you have to get from your original game. I suggest you'd use the Disk ID Utility DVD instead of the original Disk ID Utility, as some swap magic users have problems with the original.
