I was just wondering if connecting my xbox to my pc through a 10/100Mbps Switch would slow down the transfer.? I know through a hub it may slow down due to the data colliding, but it should'nt through a switch as its designed to stop collision.
At the mo i have it going through a crossover cable, but when i enable the connection on the port that the xbox connects to the network to my dads pc goes down. So i though about connecting my pc, my dads pc and my xbox all to a switch as long as it does'nt slow the transfer too much.At the mo i get about 8Meg a sec transfers.
