codebreaker on modded ps2

hi, i have a pre-modded magic v Version9 NTSC ps2 console, and it works pefectly for all games including dvd's and ps1 games, and also action replay max. the only problem is that codebreaker v8.1 wont run on it, it says playstation 2, and then all it does after that is really run the motor and make a lot of noise on the ps2 which is obvious that its spinning or something, but not loading. any help?

i got the same problem with code breaker ver8.1. it works sometimes after many resets. the codebreaker site states that the coder breaker might not work with modded ps2.
