Now that the beta patch is out...will there be a no-CD fix pretty soon? and maybe a less complicated fix than the 1.66 one?

if anyone knows about it pls post. I would love to put my CD away again cause its is suffering slightly when I keep playing, inserting and so on with it...

No I am not, it is too much work for such a litte thing and besides the (fixed) uk beta will be released this week.. I see no point in do as I did. But if someone wants to tak a look at the exe I can provide it.
