Mega Man Anniversary Collection

OK this is a pretty dumb question but i need to know how to unlock additional levels? i have beaten mega man 1 about 4 times but ive yet to unlock another level....i have no clue what im doing wrong, am i missing something on a level??? I kill Dr. Willy and watch the ending credits, and then the game goes back to the main menu and no new levels have been unlocked :grayuhoh: Any ideas??? (BTW i have read faqs on the internet and haven't come accross one that solves my problem)

dude....do you have the PS2 version of mega man?.....i think the reason you cant start is cause you go to load game....but all you can load is the first mega man....whenever you load...it's a game within the collection that you already started.....you can play 1-8 without having to unlock anything...but you can't load them unless you already started a new game....just go to "new game" and start mega man 2...this is 2 weeks out of date...but please tell me which version you have....i think i bought a defective game from circuit city
