I did and it does not work. It plays DVD but not VCD

ok few things here.

1. have you tried more than one vcd
2. have you tried the vcd in another player
3. are the vcd/s youve tried all on the same media.

Omg, VCD can't be played on a PS2. Maybe you could with PS2 reality player though but not just by putting it in your PS2, only DVDs will play. Serious andy have you even ever tested it yourself?

what is PS2 reality player?how does it work and how can i obtain it?
i used different vcd with different medias.they work on normal dvd player(which has the ability to play vcds as well)

course ive tried it myself and it works no probs just by puttin a vcd in and it recognises it

If i aint tried it, i wouldnt have commented on it.

The PS2 DOES NOT play vcds. It wasn't meant to play vcds and it will never. If it works for you, you failing to mention something important. Unless you have the ps2 reality player, there is NO way the ps2 plays vcds.

yes, you need a reality player, but i actaully dont know many places (around me at least) that carry them so you could have a hard time finding one.

The site FG posted has it. Just follow the directions on how to get it running.

if you get DVD lab or something like that. u can fit about 3 SVCD's films on there. this will convert them to DVD. and the PS2 will run SVCD res on a DVD. :D and you can also do it on a +RW
i got bored one day, found out all this crap out
i'm sure it will work with VCD.
