FFXI Online with mod-chip

Can anyone tell me if it possible to buy a US FFXI online pack with hdd, and work with an australian ps2 with mod chip? also use an australian Network card?

im not sure but i know if you want to play FFXI you need a harddrive and broadband internet

Yes and if you want to know more about it... It also checks if there's a modchip on your console, which won't get you that far.
