mohaa. big problem

a while ago i tried to download and install a patch for medal of honour allied assault. it completely ruined mi game. it no longer runs and neither does mi spearhead expansion . i try to uninstall it and it says finished performing maintenance on mohaa and i tried to reinstall and it sed the same thing. ive tried finding every file to do with it and eleted them and even went to add/remove programs in control panel. if anyone knows how to fix mi problem then can u please tell me

Is the game an original, or did you download the game or buy a dodgy copy?

100% original. it used to work then i uninstalled it. i tryed to patch it to update it and i think the patch might of been virused coz now it wont uninstall or reinstall

This problem has been talked about before so try doing a search.
It may take you a while to find it but the answer is on the boards somewhere!

You can reinstall, you just need to delete the registry keys. Then it thinks that the game was never installed in the first place, if you dont have any save games of configs.

goto run and type "regedit" then goto the following directory.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall
you must then select and delete the folder name below found in that above location:{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}
Then it should install properly. I found that these are the reg keys on a site, so can someone please verify that these are the right ones?

That is very strange I have that game and the expansion and installed the patch and didn't give me any problems maybe your computer is messed and need a reformat

The problem with MOHAA comes to light if you try to uninstall the thing so stick with what smokices says. It's been a while since I had the thing on my system but his advice sounds about right from what I can remember.

if you cant uninstall or reinstall then you may need to format the pc .

ps it could be a hacker placed a virus in your pc and NOT the game ( not the 1st time it has happened )

It could be a gypsy has put a curse on everyone named Smith; but it aint!
This is a known bug in MOHAA and there is no need to format anything.
Smokices tip should sort it out.

It works im almost positive. It happened to mme with battlefield: vietnam, i uninstalled then a while later i tried to reinstall and it wouldnt work. So i deleted the reg keys and it worked. The both have this problem ive read it in different forums along the way.

i done it fingers crossed.. i wont hav the game back for 2 weeks acoz i lent it or school hols but hopefully its all sweet. thanx for all ure help everyone
