No Sound in Vice City

alright so i just got vice city and i loaded it up and i cant hear anything... so i check the options and try to click on audio hardware but when i try it says no audio hardware installed... help plz!!! :(

PS. For The PC and yes i bought it...

i have direct x 9 and yes my sound in windows work... do i need to get a sound driver though?

First thing to do is just follow these simple instructions:

Clcik on Start-->Control Panel-->System-->Hardware Tab--> Device Manager--> Sounds, Video and Game Controllers.

If there is a ? on this section, then you have a conflict & you need to install the sound card drivers, which are on the manafacturers website :)

nope still doesnt work after updating sound drivers

Best thing to do is remove the Sound card and change it to a differant PCI slot on the mobo, if that doesn't work then you need a new sound card :)

i am also have this problam when i start the game on logo there is sound but when i play the game no sound ?

Id say chek the files too, the install mite have messed up, its happend to me.
