Hey everyone!

Just wondering if you could help me, I recently bought a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro, installed it in my machine, uninstalled my then current Catalyst 3.9's and upgraded to 4.6's.

Ran 3D Mark 2001 SE, 10533, hmmm, I then tried other Catalyst Drivers (3.9, 4.1 & 4.5) still no luck.

It was suggested to me a fresh install may solve the problem, this was not the case!
Then I had the bright idea of checking the power to the card, as I have two sets of cathodes in my case along with 2 additional fans, disconnected the cathodes and one fan, and made sure the power to the card was direct from the PSU (450W) - STILL 10K!!!

My system spec is as follows:

Athlon 2400XP o/c'd to 2600 @ 2.08Ghz
Asus A7N8X Deluxe Mobo
512Mb 2700 Crucial RAM
160Gb Samsung Spinpoint
Radeon 9800 Pro

Now comes the crap part, I gave the card to my mate, who has a machine practically the same as mine (i mean real close specs), and he scored 15433!!!
Infact my machine is quicker than his, so I should get better results than him!
I can't RMA this baby as it DOES work, but just not in my machine!!
I am upgrading from an Radeon 8500, which scores me 8000.
So I don't want to have paid £145 for 2K more points!
All my computer literate buddies have no idea, so I thought I'd test the nation (or the world rather), and see what you brain boxes could come up with!

I have installed the latest Nvidia Chipset Drivers, Set my Graphics Aperture to 64Mb (was 128Mb, suggested to reduce to 64Mb by mate) and cleared my BIOS!

Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions!

Cheers!

if you have 512 or more of ram then 128 agp size
2001 is a system bench its not like 2k3
it has more to do with cpu, ram, fsb ,chipset , ect.....
try to run 2k3 and see what your score is
chances are your video is fine
try some tweeks to
