What are you using to let the backups play on your console? modchip, swap magic flip top, slide card etc.

Most games are copy protected so you cant make a perfect copy and you will need a modchip for burned games to work

So once i get my mod chip (like 20 bucks right?) Ill just be able to burn ps2 DVD to a blank DVD and not have to do all of that decoding? I just got some money for B-Day so im gonna spend it on mod chip if that is all I need......TY

Right, but you're not getting a good no swap chip for $20. Probably upwards of $40-50 plus installation unless you're good with a soldering iron.
The alternative is boot disks, like Swap Magic. These are like $20 but have to use them to boot up then swap out your CD/DVD without pressing the PS2's eject button (there are a few methods of doing this).
If you've got the money, get a good chip like DMS3 or Messiah

Hiyah London ;)
You will certainly need to have your PS2 chipped, it is the safest way M8 .. for more information on Backup Procedure and programs required see the thread by NorthViking here ...
