And guess what. It doesn't work.

Yeah, was added recently. Not only that it doesn't work, i can't seem to minimize the game aswell.

i know, we have discused about this on gamehacking (CES,EXTALIA,DVS) forum.

I think it is because of the backup exe we are using, it create another process called suffering.rgf (not dll). so we gamehacker cannot get the base address of that process everytime it change location.

another info is the game load differently on winxp and win9x, the class name stay the same, but the windows name change. on winxp, it wont show anything, but in win9x it show Riot Engine.

until another non packed backup exe is release, they will be no 100% working trainer for this game.

so, if you really want to cheat the life on this game, use tsearch or other memory searcher program and look for the life value,

Life value = Float 200 when maximum (full)

Hard to dye in this game, using the weapon you want is another thing :\

After finding no trainers that worked for this game (cracked exe version) I decided to make my own. Now before i make a full bashhed out +10 trainer or whatever, I want someone else with the suffering backup exe version to try this out and see if it works. I've only tried it on levels 7,8 and 9 and it seems to work for me. Let me know if it gives you unlim ammo and painkillers or not.

Thanks for trying to make a trainer where everyone else had failed...
But I am sorry to report that it didn't work for me or a friend (this was tested with the backup-exe version) :-(
Personally I tried it from the beginning and with a savegame from level 1.
I hope that you can solve the problems so that we can get a working trainer soon :-)

Which backup exe did you use, have you got a direct link for it somewhere? btw: this is with v1.0 of the game. Sad that it didnt work for you since ive managed to play every level so far with the trainer. Ive managed to get unlim everything except health. Health just crashes whenever you try to modify the memory address. I think ive got insanity meter freeze figured out now too.

So just get me a link to the backup exe version you got and ill try that version a go. make sure your game is v1.0 too (although the exe properties say 1.0.0.1 on mine)

if you have v1.1 or 1.2 or whatever the new patch is, let me know and also the crack exe youve got for that too. Also, when you ran the trainer, did it crash the game or just do nothing? Note: you have to run the game, then the trainer and press the buttons you want manually. havent bothered putting in shortcut keys yet.

I used the backup exe from gamecopyworld - http://spacetarget.com/games/pc_the_suffering.shtml.

The trainer didn't crash the game - it just had no effect at all with both options...

I tried to use the trainer by first starting the game and loading my savegame and then pressing alt-tab starting the trainer and pressing both inf. buttons and then alt-tab back to the game and nothing happened...

Anyway the shortcut keys idea sounds great :-)

Hi majestikmoose.

I gave your trainer a shot and it didn't work out for me. I loaded a save game, pressed Alt-Tab, and executed your trainer. I cliked on Unlimited Ammo and Unlimited Painkillers, seperatley and together (on seperate occasions). Then I switch back to the game. Every instance causes the game to crash (Riot engine failure or something). The back-up exe I'm using is the Vengeance on, I believe (no-cd). I'm also running version 1.0 of the game. Hope that info helps.

Ill make a trainer for the vengance backup exe... but just give this a go (dont know if it will affect it or not, ill try it in a lil while) but rename your suffering.exe to have a capital S. since the trainer looks for the exe name when loaded in memory, it does look for Suffering.exe no suffering.exe. No idea if its case sensitive though

ok.. just tested the vengance exe with my trainer and it worked for me still! So no happy hours there. What ill get you to do, just to check this out, is right click on your suffering.exe and click properties. When the window comes up, click on the version tab and see if it says version 1.0.0.1

Also let me know what OS your using. If its the same as me, then i suppose the next best thing is to write a step by step on how to make a working trainer for your own version of the game.

oh, and one other thing, note that thoes buttons on the trainer freeze the status of the painkillers and freeze your ammo clip. so freeze your painkillers after youve actually icked one up

yes, it dosent work. Look guys, I think this game has very ccomplex memory addressing which may seem to change with each install of the game. I'm going to have a go at re-installing the game and see if my trainer still works. Theres got to be a way to cheat this, there always is :P

it is not complex, it just run from dll, to be more specific, it is inside Suffering.rfl (which is a DLL)

there is also a different when the game is run on xp or 9x, that is the name of the windows is different... but we can still use class name which is the same on any os.

could you please try my god mode trainer... forum member at extalia said it worked... but i need more confirmation.

Thank you for the trainer. Here's a couple of expansion suggestions for the trainer:

- Unlimited Ammo
- Unlimited adrenaline to remain transformed

BTW: Another game which desperately needs a trainer with god mode is Alias...

Alias is more stealth though, sometimes god mode wont work on certain missions.

But add the infi ammo for the suffering Bie and maybe fix that right click option of yours ;)

the right click doesnt work? it detect bie.htm and open it and both file must be in the same folder.

it wont function because it doenst detect bie.htm in the same folder or have been run from the rar.

Do you have a working trainer for Alias? - because I can't get the trainer from Revelation to work properly - it says "start game first" when I already have pressed alt-tab from within the game...

Sounds like you have a wrong version than the trainer wants to pick up on.

Seeing as their nfo didnt say which version it is for, I can only assume it was the first retail version, so if you have had it patched up to a later version you may not have any joy :\

I've tried Bié trainer and it doesn't works for me (winXP, Suffering 1.1, GameCopyWorld .exe)

Anyway I keep reading on the net things like this one:

Constant images:
When you enable the "All items and weapons" code or two or more

Ok I've tried to read through the comments left in this thread but have just got more confused.

If I want to use a trainer what do I have to do to get it to work properly as I don't understand what the 'backup' thing is about and mooooooo I can't get it to work.
