OK , I wanted to remove my norton anti virus 2003 pro edition for the fevor of norton internet security 2004 Pro edition. but whan I tried to remove it(from the control panel , add/remove programs menu) but in the middle of the remove , an error came up: "1316.anework error eccurd while attempting to read from the file: c\windows\installer\nav.msi" and the removing ended. but the files of the anti-virus under the C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus are still there .(ll of the files .non of tham have been deleted) and anyway , naw I'm without an antivirus , and I think that someone hacked my computer a faw hours ago. so haw can I remove my norton antivirus 2003 and install the norton internet security 2004 Pro edition.you don't konw haw annoying it is to buy a $60 worth of software and can't have the ability of installing it.please halp. :grayuhoh:

At first try a repair-intall with norton disk
If that didn't work ya can remove all registery keys but that is very dangerous, if ya delete the wrong file maybe ya system will give errors all the time.

Why try to remove it in the first place? Norton Internet Security automatically updates any previous versions of Norton Anti-Virus. No need for uninstalling.

what dude said is true just upgrade next time
but since it got messed up i would not up grade

use the program i listed then install the new ver.
