Please Help Me To Choos

I am running a Windows2003advanced server interface.... but don't have a firewall yet.
Wich firewall can i best use: Zone Alarm or Sygate
Also don't have a Virus Scan ether
Wich should i use: Norton or McAfee

Well a hardware firewall is always safest. But I can recommend you to get Zone Alarm. The normal ZA is free, if you want Pro you have to pay.

Myself use Zone Alarm and Norton Antivirus. You can also search forums as this has been asked before, about good antivirus program.

Another excellent, Free, Virus Scanning program is AVG6 .. you also receive free Virus Data upgrades at regular intervals .. worth a look at ;)

I use norton McAfee doesn't do that good of a job last time i used McAfee i still got virus' and my system crashed so i would go with norton so far it has not let me down

whatever it is guys..you won't catch special trojans or viruses by "general" utilities like mc afee or norton...just if you always use the most recent patches, you have a good
chance not to be infected by nasty things.do virus checks regulary, and do it after EACH visit of some illegal software providers..if you can't get of the virus, try to find out which name or program its related to. in many cases you will the right weapen to kill it. Also do virus scans regularly after visiting "game-sites", some of them are full of
spyware.

well dragon slayer i had the same thing with MC-Affee my system also crashes...

Milan your right about that one i better find out where i can find a antidote for it (if i get a troyan horse or something like it) That is the most effective way to terminate them...

I user Zone Alarm , Peer Guardian these 2 work good =)
Avg is ok =/ i use it but if you don't want to download any software

spybot is also good...sometimes it even can destroy the source of a hijacked Internet explorer..but if u you have too often problems with IE..then use firefox, its like netscape, but 3 times smaller, very lightfoot version.

spybot?? Spy Bot Search and Destroy? ....hell if you want a good spybot scan i would use Adaware... am i thinking about the same spybot as you?

i did not say spybot search&distroy is the best..i think we all know how it is with that antivirus etc software world...its like with pigs..yesterday a pig, and tomorrow ham.the same is true with firewalls...some people would for example rather commit suicide than install zonealarm on their PC..me personally never used it, so i am not judging it.antidote software is often also tendentious .. it can be good and bad ..depends on what you are going to do with it.
