Silent Hill 3 crashes!!Help me plz

Hello everyone.i just got SH3 for pc and when i'm playing it randomly freezes.It can freeze in a minute or after 20 minutes lol.My pc specs are:AMD ATHLONXP 2GHZ,512 MB RAM,RADEON 9600 PRO,M/B GA-7VT600,SOUNDBLASTER LIVE!.Please help me to solve this problem...

Search for latest game patch www.patches-scrolls.de (http://www.patches-scrolls.de)
And update all your drivers.

Hmmm it seems that it has to do with sound acceleration.I reduced the acceleration to NO ACCELERATION and is worked!!!No crashing!!I'm afraid playing a pc game is much more easier that trying to make it work LOL.Thanx for your help anyway.I appreciate it.
