I have Windows XP Pro, with Internet Explorer 6 installed, and I have a problem when downloading zip files; it doesn't give me an option of where to save the file to, it just downloads to a temp folder, and opens when it's finished downloading. This DOESN'T happen with any other file type.

I know what caused this to happen, but can't find a solution.

Any ideas?

Can you not just right click the link to the zip file and do 'Save Target As' ??

its in Tools > Folder Option > File Types. Look for zip extension > Edit, tick the top box.

if you get winzip or winrar it will not use winblows' zip file system... it will then allow u to dl it to a folder.
