Battlefield 1942

Hi;

I recently copied Battlefield 1942 to my new Hardrive,
anyhow patches won't work, I have a feeling that its my registry
any chance of someone sending me their registry key for
c:\...EA games\Battlefield 1942, or guide me through anything else
I can do, I can't reinstall, my CD drive is screwed

The key is generally found:


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES

AND OR


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA GAMES\

Mine is not a leeched copy from a friend it is my original copied onto my new hardrive, I'd reinstall but as I explained earlier my CD drive is broken and I wont be getting a new one for a few months, I'd really love to be able to play mods in the meantime please help me

Make sure you have the original exe when applying patches.

mmm? why not update your BF42... usually when you update a game Reg keys are also updated, if none, they are made.

Hi, I wish it would do that, I've got patches 1.5 and 1.5-1.6, but when I go to install it I get the error message:

Severe

Setup couldn't find a Battlefield 1942 installation

please help me, anything to make my patch install

You need original game and you need original exe.

You might need to copy original exe back to game folder, or even reinstall the game.

...Yeh thats kinda why I posted this, my CD drive doesn't work and the nearest shop is like 3 hours away, so I can't reinstall (I would have tried that earlier otherwise), I've been flamed and booed out of other forums who describe me as "illegal" "pirate" "hacker" etc. seriously I've got the full version, serial key its all legitimate, but patches wont work!!!!!

Well buy a new cd-drive doesn't cost much.

Or you could get a new original exe, but we don't give out that here.

U can try To fix the registry by using the registry mechanic.(but U will need to but the full varsion , not use the trailware) any use a crack for . I have got my crack from the e-mule.

I've got the full version, now what? How do I fix up BF 1942?
