getting to grips burning ps2 games

hi there, just been looking thru the forum on burning ps 2 games and im pretty confused by it, with the swap, patches, gameshark just dont know where to start. is there any easy guide or tutorial on how to do it.
does it matter what mod chip i buy or are they all similar, i have a + dvd writer alcohol 120% and i just downloaded record now max cause i heard that was a good programme.

Nowadays there's no need for patches on regular games. Only online games need to be patched (I'm hoping the modchip developers find a way to patch these games aswell).
There are many ways to play ps2/psx backups; modchip, gameshark/knife trick, swap magic, flip top, slide card. The best way IMO is by modchip.

Best modchip to buy is DMS3. If you live in USA and don't know how to install, ask N£TM£ÇH: www.americanmodz.com He is a great installer and sells them aswell. If you live in Europe i would go for Divineo: www.divineo.co.uk They sell it and install it aswell they also sell soldering equipment.
